Dogfish Head Liquid Truth Serum.

IPA lovers should get their hands on some before it's gone. Single event bottling.

Alaskan White, using beer mitt I knit:

MSP requires such aid during these months.

Super proud to announce that I finally had some Hill farmstead!

One of my FT buddies is coming to town with that in a few days. That will be my first.

Got some Bourbon County Stout for him.

My local Costco has BCS for about $9/btl, and stovepipe (~19 oz) cans of barrel aged Oskar Blues Ten Fidy for about the same. I didn't have time today to wait in line to buy stuff as I had just dropped in but will probably go acquire a couple of each tomorrow.

Anchor Porter ^^ It had a nice chocolate/coffee flavor, but with a nice little kick that you don't get in many porters.

Ah sorry to miss you. I'll have to check out Wooden Robot next time.

Couple new beers from the week.

At the Panthers game (only have InBev products and a couple of local craft beers that were mostly sold out):

Goose Island IPA
Golden Boy Brewing Wolf among Weeds (liked this one a lot - I'm sure it was even better pre-InBev purchase)

Mother Earth Snow Flurry Juniper Rye Pale Ale - awesome beer from a small Eastern NC brewey. Had it for the first time last year, it did really well but they decided to keep it as a seasonal only so very happy that it's back on the shelves for the winter months

Picked up a couple quite solid beers last night:

-Founders Backwoods ....... - for a beer that is 11.2% ABV, it does not taste that heavy at all. Very nice oak-aged stout.
-Mikkeller SD Long Tall Sally IPA - it's branded as a 'New England-style IPA', but it certainly isn't as robust as a lot of NE IPAs I've had. That said, it's very smooth to drink and a bit brighter - very good.

Spent some good time yesterday with a FT buddy, who was stocked up on Ballast Point Mocha Marlin Winter Release. A very nice new for me.

MaxBuck Dec 17, 2017 4:59 pm

Still to this day, I've not tasted an IPA better than Fat Head Head Hunter. Great Cleveland craft brewer.

Rheingeist Truth and Green Flash come close. But not quite.

Couple Christmas parties last night:

Hoppyum IPA
New Belgium Accumulation IPA
Full Steam Rocket Science IPA

And host at one of the parties opened up and shared a 2017 Goose Island BCBS which was delicious

gfunkdave Dec 18, 2017 9:01 am

I've got some Bissell Bros Reciprocal and Lawson's Sip of Sunshine in the fridge now.

onobond Dec 18, 2017 12:13 pm

Invited to indulge Evil Twin Imperial Mexican Biscotti Cake Break (!) a stout with ABV 10.5%.

Do I need to fasten seatbelt? :p
