The largest craft brewer here, Pasteur Street Brewing Company, definitely has foreign involvement and some foreign ingredients. Not sure about the others, but I imagine (and hope) they had some degree of outside technical assistance.

Alpine Beer's Pure Hoppiness. Delicious double IPA

Had people over for the Super Bowl and have

Mast Landing Gunner's Daughter - the best milk stout ever, hands down, with flavors of peanut butter
Mast Landing/Hoof Hearted collab "How's Yer Capacity" - a double dry hopped IPA in the New England style I like, with a lot of tropical fruit notes
Baxter Tarnation lager

Scored a six-pack of one of my favorite local beers recently!

Tonight was Sensei, a triple IPA from Herndon, VA, brewery Aslin. Pretty good stuff, in the northeast style (very cloudy, loaded with sediment), though IMHO less hoppy than I expect of a triple IPA.

Are they being distributed on the east coast now?

Just so you know, the name of the latter brewery is pronounced "Hoo f(He)arted," the "He" being silent.

Muskoka Brewery Mad Tom (tall boy)
Amsterdam Brewery Bonecrusher (draft)

Couple others that were on the shelf at the grocery store that I will have to try next time I'm in Toronto (Red Racer IPA, Hop City HopBot IPA, Nickel Brook Headstock IPA).

Really liked the Bonecrusher but don't think the Mad Tom is anything special (I picked it out of the 5 options since it seemed to be one the most frequently cited in lists of top Ontario IPAs but wish I'd gotten one of those others now instead).

Hah, really?

I do love the New England IPA style that Sip of Sunshine is a great example of. If you like that, try anything from Maine Beer Co, Bissell Bros Substance, Austin Street Patina Pale Ale, Lone Pine Portland Pale Ale, or Battery Steele Flume. (all Portland ME brewers)
