A friend gave me a bottle of Founder's Breakfast Stout (look at these ratings, by the way; wow, property values have gone up in my garage fridge).

My friend is eager to know what I think of it, but I haven't quite figured out yet what's the right time of the day or week to drink a beer with an alcohol content well above 8%. Not a workday lunch, I'm pretty sure.

I bet it would go great with a large plate of scrambled eggs and bacon at 6:30 AM.

While not really a fan of Mexican beer one exception I make is for Dos Equis Ambar. Stay thirsty, my friends. ;)

I tried the Australian Duff beer out of curiousity. NEVER AGAIN.

Finally going to get off your Duff, eh?

So the slogan of "Can't get enough, of that wonderful Duff" is misleading, eh? :p

I'm sure Billy Beer had a clever slogan too.

Going Irish:

Smithwick's
Guinness Black Lager
Harp

..and some Canadian Labatt simply because it was on sale.

The beers I often drink with a dinner are 9-11%. I think of it like a glass of wine. :)

More like 2 glasses of wine.

I have been limiting myself to a single beer with dinner lately and find that 8% is about the right alcohol content to still know I'm drinking beer. Anything less, with the food in my gut, I might as well be drinking O'Doul's.
