I know you put your potential move out west on hold, but you and your hubby should consider a trip to Ft. Collins for a biking tour of the breweries when coming out to scout for a new home. More than 10 breweries of all sizes (not counting cider houses, wineries, and distilleries) within a 15-20 minute bike ride of Old Town Ft. Collins.

LOL, I'm not big into biking, especially not when I've had alcohol! That said, I would love to do a tour of all of the breweries in Ft. Collins!

Just drank my last Czech pilsner, so the beer fridge is empty except for some emergency Lites; but I brought back 30 liters of Staropramen, Gambrinus and Kozel with me when I came back from Prague last month. 30 liters of beer was $800 CZK, about $36 USD.

I also recently sampled one of these, courtesy of some friends returning from Belgium with their suitcases stuffed full.

Kirin Light. First time. Last time. I will finish the six tonight. 95 calories and no apparent alcohol buzz after 3.

The thing is, I like regular Kirin Ichiban, especially with Asian food. I was reheating stir fry leftovers so I thought it would be okay. The light version is even thinner and paler with less flavor - it lost any redeeming quality the full-calorie version has. I am convinced I will never find a light beer worth drinking, but I'm still gonna try.

Real women (and men) don't drink light beer! :D

Have you tried Sam Adams Light? It's about the only light beer I'll tolerate.

Aha! So you have drunk at least one. I didn't care for it.

I've put back 20 of the 60 pounds I lost 4 years ago. And I'm unwilling to make many compromises. A light beer that doesn't taste like a light beer wouldn't be a compromise.

Also looking for a light scotch, a light bourbon and a light rye. :D

I was just at Costco. They are selling a 48-pack of light beer under the Kirkland brand for I think $22. Gotta be terrible, but awful cheap.

Wow! That is very inexpensive.

Bought another 6 pack, received a promotional glass, got home and proceeded to drop it before any beer hit the rim. :( Is Fri. over yet?
