Currently reading a copy of Jim Koch's Quench Your Own Thirst as the price was recently reduced on Amazon. I highly recommend it. We forget how much we own Jim and the early pioneers of the micro-brew movement, and there is also an interesting discussion of how import beers have watered down and adulterated the products that are shipped to the USA.

Between muling some beer back from recent trips and last night's stop at the bottle shop - some Fremont Interurban IPA, Beavertown Gamma Ray, a couple from Crew Republic, and a couple from Himburgs Braukunstkeller.

A six pack of Ballast Point Grunion pale ale.

Oh, Pliny, nice!
Just got a sixtel of stones twentieth anniversary. Tapped it last night. How many of you typically get growlers vs. bottles/cans? I much prefer draft beer |
Back to Habanero Sculpin I go. They are selling it for a very reasonable $10.99/6pack at Target where everyone else in the area has it at $13.99 and up.

Alberta Genuine Draft.

Visiting Little Rock, AR at the moment and getting into some of Lost Forty's beers. Sixpack each of the Love Honey Bock and Daily Drinker, think I will need to go back and check out their other offerings.

Great road trip Saturday, to a fantastic place called "Wisconsin"!
Smuggled a six-pack of New Glarus Spotted Cow back across the Illinois border. |
Brewster's Farmer's Tan, a Belgian style white ale. ^
|
Just tapped Ballast Point, Roots and Boots, Double IPA.
Just loving my new kegerator. I recommend that you all get one. It'll be the most fun investment you ever make. Coach < Cans < First < Kegerator. Think about that! :) |
It will depend on where we go for dinner tonight. If we have Mexican, then Dos Equis. If we go for tapas, then most likely Rioja.
|
Just returned from a trip to Bamberg, where I visited Schlenkerla , which was awesome.
At this moment in time I am drinking a Juice Jr. IPA from Great Notion Brewing |
Just added another sixtel to the kegerator and it's a beer style that I really love: saison. It's by Jolly Pumpkin out of Michigan. They use more expensive processes which I think make the beers very interesting. This one is Inicios Nuevos, and particularly for beers like this I think the draft vs. bottle makes a HUGE difference.

Picked up a couple of six packs of Crispin Pacific Pear Cider at the local Target for $3.85 each. A pretty good cider, a little sweet but very tasty. |
