Differences between the legacy Professional cards and the new Consumer cards:
- Card type. Professional = charge card; Consumer = credit card
- Foreign transaction fees. Professional 3%; Consumer 0.
- CDW vehicle value cap. Professional = $75,000 (Diners) or $100,000 (Carte Blanche); Consumer = $50,000
- Other insurance. On cursory examination there appears to be differences in the carriers and terms of the other coverages. The Consumer coverages may be a standard package arranged by MasterCard, while the Professional coverages may be inherited from Citi. Someone would need to read carefully side-by-side to find the differences.

These are the same CSRs who confidently said they would reopen applications in a couple of weeks and then later that they would open applications again in early 2015. You might as well read tea leaves as call them and ask.
My take is there are really likely only two options:
1). Existing cardholders are converted to a new less lucrative rewards scheme once the year anniversary has past for all the new applicants who applied last year. And the applications are reopened.
2). Existing program is left in place and some new program is opened for new cardholders.
I really, really doubt the existing program will be reopened to new applicants.

Indeed. I kind of feel like I have cool "MS Cred" for being able to get the new DC card and getting one of those ridiculous CL's (20k more than any other credit line I have).
I only have the premier, but I've been able to get way more than 100 dollars of benefit from the lounge access. Using it tonight as well

Speaking of the fails of BMO Harris with regards to Diners Club and them 'temporarily' taking down applications, their online applications for checking accounts are also 'temporarily' down. It has been like this for at least a week. lol BMO get your act together and open up apps for Diners again and your checking accounts.

at least they are sticking by my theory of business... if you cannot stand by or handle the marketing offers you offer, then dont be available to do business or open any new apps for the offers.

They seemingly didn't learn that lesson until they already had way more cardholders putting through way more charges than they were comfortable with. At least they've learned now I suppose.

Mine! I just have the Premier, but it's a bargain for the lounge access alone. Have used it at least 10x this year. And it's my card for non bonused Visa spend (use CSP for dining/travel, SPG amex for every day, and DC Premier for non bonused visa only places, such as my dry cleaners)
