I'm shocked you got it on the 77W at all! SQ had supposedly held those back from award inventories, though I did spot availabilty for those flights shortly after the new C product was released. Some of their own *Alliance partners can't book onto the 77W period.

BTW: The 77W was slated to go daily on the LAX-TPE-SIN route from October. But they're adding a frequency to CDG and it won't go daily until later. Nov. 22nd is showing 77W, though. ^

Thumbs up Grr-hkg

GRR-MSP (NW)
MSP-NRT (NW)
NRT-HKG (NW)
HKG-ICN (KE)
ICN-JFK (KE)
EWR-GRR (CO)

All in coach, using 60,000 DL SkyMiles, notice how none of the flights are on DL metal

Leaving early May, with a weeklong stopover in Tokyo. Returning mid-June with intentional, less than 24 hour stopovers in both Seoul and New York.

All in this year...
GSP-DTW (NW/25k)
GSP-CLE (CO/25k)
ORD-GPT (DL/Skychoice, over memorial weekend, but not for me and did well on CPM)
ORD-LGW (DL/50k)

Even better than getting the award was the ease of doing it. Partner desk has some really helpful, really service-oriented folks. Always a pleasure.

ORF-EWR (CO)
EWR-FCO (CO)

FCO-AMS (AZ)
AMS-EWR (CO)
EWR-ORF (CO)
Scored this the other day in coach for 50,000 with less than 60 days to departure. Only spent maybe a total of 30 minutes on the phone with SMS spread over a couple calls. Could not believe the ease of booking an award, into Rome of all places!

Alitalia might be out of business by the time you fly. But, good luck.

I successfully booked two international SkySaver award coach tickets from IAH-VCE via CDG on Air France the first time I called the Delta International Partner’s Award Desk. I started the process by checking NWA’s Japan website, https://asiares.nwa.com/ , inquiring if SkySaver award seats were available. I noticed Air France was the only SkyTeam partner releasing seats out that far and beyond Delta’s 331 calendar day ticketing window. I had to wait until 331 days before out initial inbound flight to book the ticket even though they were showing up on the website past 331 days. Unfortunately I got fleeced by Delta for the $20 USD per ticket phone reservation fee since Delta.com does not allow SkyTeam partner award bookings. The representative was very courteous and appreciated the fact that I had done all of the legwork and saved her a lot of time. (Too bad they don’t wave the $20 phone fee if you do your own homework!!) I have to wait about two weeks before I can book my inbound leg back to the IAH from FCO. The Delta representative noted on my reservation that I would be calling back when the 331 day window opens not to charge the $20 fee again. So far it has been a seamless transaction, let’s hope the connection in CDG goes just as well!

Just had terrific success for next summer, all in business for 110k miles:

JAX-EDI on NW/KL but waitlisted on DL ("looks good...")
PEK-ICN-ATL-JAX with DL92 on the ICN-ATL segment.

The ICN-ATL segment was a fluke: I just happened to check today (it's exactly 331 days out) without much confidence because there hasn't been anything available on that flight forever it seems, ...and there was this lonely seat just waiting for my butt. Hooray!

Helped my mom cash in her miles to get an SQ J Award. She's in First BOS-ATL, then Y ATL-SFO (while I'm in F on same flight), then J on SQ 001 SFO-HKG-SIN (I'm in F on the same flight), and Y on SQ 976 SIN-BKK (I'm in Y with her, 'cause yet again DL just can't seem to get premium classes beyond SIN). She'll take Y BKK-SIN, stopover for a few days, then J on SQ 002 SIN-HKG-SFO. The hiccup in the ticket is that she has to spend an overnight in SFO before taking DL F SFO-SLC-BOS. There are certainly far worse places to have to spend a night, mmmkay?

The amazing part is that we got her onto the exact same flight as I had already booked for myself six weeks ago on an SQ F award. ^ ^ Had thought about downgrading myself to J to sit next to her, but I might instead just switch seats with her on the HKG-SIN leg so she can give SQ F a try!
