Happy Friday, and now here in Eastern (U.S.) Time - Happy Saturday.

Looking forward to getting up at/before 7:30am every day since Monday. As always... lots to do, and working the full 8 hour night on Saturday (normally have it off). I guess I'm in the mood to make money this week.

House cleaning time!

Just ran across -- and am about to shred -- the NW receipts for our trip to the 1st El Paso DO (Feb. 17-20, 2006), where we first met Mr. & Mrs. & mini jfe, Mr. & Mrs. Cholula, Alysia, Canarsie, monitor, franny, KLC (R.I.P.), punki & hunki, traveller, and assorted other nebulous & not-so-nebulous personalities.

What a long, strange trip it's been!

(Canarsie keeps better records than Santa Claus & can confirm that this was our first encounter. )

Yep...

...and to the disbelief of some, I have absolutely no regrets.

Rather, I have very fond memories.

Trivia: it was the trip where Cholula convinced me to pursue my Master of Business Administration degree...

And was it better than the Masters of Basket Assembly degree you had been working towards?

Oddly enough, it was also Cholula who convinced me to go into journalism. He realized that it was a business that had a great future -- as Gutenberg had just invented a press which uses movable type.

No, because I became a basket case as a result.

And, unfortunately, someone else had to make the basket because you weren't qualified?

When will weave moved on to a different topic — such as airplanes which belong to women?

OK, you've made your case. Or somebody did.
