May have my first work trip since Covid started coming up next week. It would just happen to fall on the week of my bachelor party

Tempting. I’d have to add the cost of a membership and of course the pretzels into the cents per MQM calculation.

mattp1987. If you'e empted to do a MR for absolutely unreal deserts, go to Palermo, rent a car and drive to Erice. Once there, go to Maria Grammatico's Pasticceria. https://www.mariagrammatico.it/

One day I tried almost everything that was in the cases and then took a few pounds of the things I liked best to sustain me for the next week in Sicily. They didn't last that long.

Here's what some of the pastries look like.

I just got back from picking up Voodoo Doughnuts for friends and family.

It's still Hump Day here in PDX. Unfortunately I will miss tomorrow night (unless I am able to join inflight).

Going to Voodoo Doughnuts was the culmination of a local transit tour, which included the TriMet MAX light rail going over the Steel Bridge, the Portland Streetcar (an interesting Skoda machine) which took me over the Tilikum Crossing Bridge, and a Gillig bus.

My favorite part of this trip, however, is that I was able to connect with a local Chabad rabbi and suprise my team with hamantaschen tonight
