2020 in a nutshell: you can buy Legos but not food at the airport.

More stuff open today even compared to last Friday. California Pizza kitchen and at least 3 other sit down options in A.

Demolition of the old terminal and construction of the new train station are proceeding with remarkable speed.

Not sure I agree. The terminal looks largely unscathed (hopefully the inside is gutted, but can't tell from these pics). And the train station is just an outdoor platform with 2 tracks.

As you probably know, I'm a big fan of this project. But I was pretty surprised that they scheduled 1 year for demolition. It actually looks kinda slow to me.

People keep complaining about these regional outdoor gates and cramped bus rides....SLC is to be avoided these days with their 35 minute connection times.

I thought DL mainline flights were all out the A Concourse? Had to make the 20+ min trek to B2 to catch a JFK flight. Looked back to the A terminal and there were many empty gates. And as it goes, pulled into B35 at JFK, followed by another 20+ walk out to the only exit open in T4 which is clear over by the A concrouse. Nice job Delta, keep it up!

JFK out of Concourse B seems really weird indeed. Can't imagine why they'd do that. When construction is finished, all DL flights will leave from A, so that will be nice

New terminal

New terminal is just in time to accomdate the 2021 Sundance Film Festival! Too bad the fest is virtually virtual!

I’ve had at least 5 A to B or B to A mainline connections since B opened.

Passengers not happy about new SLC airport design with long walks

https://www.fox13now.com/news/local-...S2hpgMo8Z4ieoc

This is a valid concern for pax, especially those not flying on DL. The airport should have probably put the non-DL airlines in the A concourse since almost all of these pax are O&D. SLC should have given DL the entire B concourse for themselves since the majority of DL pax in SLC are connecting and wouldn’t have to make the long walk from B to baggage claim.

Last 3 jfk flights have been from B2. Sunday was a disaster... Huge lines at every food outlet, and a huge line to get down the escalators to the tunnel to B. The tsa line was also snaked around because they didn't have enough checkpoints opened and at least 20 lined up at the clear precheck line.

This airport definitely has major design issues. For someone with a connection the trek to the skyclub is a joke. Like jfk, it's located at one end of the concourse instead of being centrally located.

No, it is not like JFK. The SkyClub will be right in the middle of Concourse A when it is completed in 2024.
