4:45 was slightly less painful this morning. We should fall back every Sunday and one Friday a month have no afternoon.

Something still worn by people who appreciate exquisite engineering and at least in my case doesn't need batteries as long as I wear it regularly

That's ok, we can just remind him:

Morning!

I was awake an hour early this morning. I can blame Schultz for that, because he tried to crowd me out of the bed.

It's not a bad morning. I had enough time to stop by Moon Dollars and get a venti coffee with two shots of espresso, so I'm well-caffeinated this morning.

Shouldn't this be in the "I need a venti" thread?

You're bragging, but it's too bad you missed the ducks. They're fun.

Do you know whether it's true that hotel restaurants won't put duck on the menu?

I've been told that if one is holding a (catered) special event at the Atlanta aquarium, you're not allowed to serve fish.

The hotel restaurant will not serve duck.

From their website:
Duck is not served anywhere at The Peabody and has not been seen on the hotel's menus since its 1981 reopening, quite possibly making Chez Philippe the only French restaurant in the world that does not offer duck.
As far as Atlanta Aquarium, their special event menus do include fish dishes.

That's ridiculous. Then when do the fish eat?

In Michigan at least, last call is 2am. But when DST ends, they're allowed to stay open until the "second" 2am.

I may or may not know this from personal experience.

What happens in the spring, when DST starts? Do they lose an hour of time that bars can stay open?

No, in the spring the clocks jump from 2am to 3am. So it's normal closing time during Spring forward.
