This discussion about DST is reminding me of the time when various European countries switched time on different weekends. As a result, in the fall and spring there would be about a month of very confusing train and plane schedules. Standardization was a big improvement.

That's nice, but I hate how early it gets dark. I also hate the "spring forward" part of it.

I also hate the early evening darkness. I'd probably prefer the morning commute in the dark and the evening commute in daylight instead of vice versa. And conversely, my mother's LEAST favorite day is spring forward, as she then "loses" an hour of sleep.

We should Spring Forward once next Spring and then permanently leave it there.
