I'm sure that some of the folks here will be sad/unhappy/upset that the extra hour occurs at a time when bars are closed.

Agreed, but I'll take the extra hour when it comes.

You can always have a beer at home or make tonight a later night

I was glad for the extra hour of sleep this morning. We attended a wedding in Memphis and ended the evening sometime between 1 and 2 am at the Peabody Hotel lobby bar. Now sitting in row 3 on MEM-ATL. Not looking forward to going back to work in the morning.

Wedding was fun. There were a group of about 20 of us who currently or formerly all were stationed in San Antonio together. It was good to catch up with them.

No, they were asleep. We didn’t get there until after the wedding and then going to a so-called speakeasy. I only learned later that apparently you can view them in their Duck House on the roof outside the hours they’re in the fountain. We thought about going back today but ended up spending all afternoon at the National Civil Rights Museum (highly recommend visiting).

I've seen them twice, but was on the upper balcony the first time so the photos aren't that great, and I can't find the photos from the second time where we had nearly front row seats by virtue of getting there early for drinking (this will come as a shock to everyone, I know)

+1 on the National Civil Rights Museum. Plus Central BBQ is right across the street.

A speakeasy sounds fun.

I should have been glad for the extra hour of sleep yesterday, but I forgot to change my watch before going to sleep (which I use for my alarm) and I was showered, shaved, dressed, and ready to go in the morning before I realized I could have slept for another hour.
