You seem very confused. I'm not complaining. I think the high ceiling design is great and I'm defending it. Anyway, it's clear that you're just hear to troll

You used three question marks and the "Seriously" emphatic to question someone else's temperature preferences. I suppose it's technically not a "complaint" but it's not a constructive comment.

Your post I replied to didn't say anything about a preference for the high ceilings, only that you never saw a need for the gaspers. It looked exactly like a troll.

If gaspers are present, everyone can be happy.

If gaspers are not present, only half the people can be happy.

Amazingly, the A350 J cabin can accommodate BOTH people who want gaspers AND people who like high ceilings. I personally don't value a high celling even though I'm 6'5" but I would never flip out and suggest that someone who does value one should seek a medical professional.

Read back a few posts. I said that DL didn't put gaspers because they went with high-ceilings instead. I think it's a good design choice. We can each have different design preferences, no problem there. Only when the other poster accused me of being very much a minority, I decided to push back

No, you didn't. You might have been thinking it but it's not what you posted. You mentioned that the celling is high in the center, and that you don't need gaspers. You didn't mention anything about why that decision was made or your own preferences. My post might have been trolling if you had elaborated, but you didn't (until AFTER my response).

Here are the actual posts you made:

No worries, misunderstandings do happen. I really like the high ceilings, thought that was implied but I could have written it more clearly.

I will soon(ish) be flying ATL-ICN-ATL on A350s in Delta One suites. The cabin is currently wide open both ways. I’d prefer a window seat with the large armrest thing on the aisle side rather than the window side for slightly improved privacy and views. Am I correct that I should select odd numbered rows for that?

Also, any opinions on whether it is better to be in the front or back of the cabin?

Thanks.

I like the look of the high ceilings, but I'm glad the window seats have vents. For this reason among others I chose a window seat for my 350 flight
I'm always annoyed when i get on a European or Asian carrier that doesn't have them...especially since they are more likely to have a warmer cabin,

Correct on the Odd numbered rows 3, 5, 7
As for front to back, it may matter for flights that don't yet have pre-ordering with FEBO in effect. I know that a bunch of routes are getting pre-ordering June 1st, but not sure about ATL-ICN

Hey there tiger, there is nothing wrong with being "in the minority." That was not intended as an insult, but rather, just to point out that I don't think most people share your opinion on the matter. And yes, I like to have air movement, especially if I am trying to sleep, I find it helps. And I am certain that I am in the minority as a person who brings a little fan. What's neat about this is that it makes me happy and does not bother anyone else.

If I saw someone sit next to me on a flight and whip out a little portable fan, I'd probably think positively of them for planning ahead to take care of their own needs/preferences (assuming the fan is one of those quiet/unobtrusive ones like you'd plug into the side of your laptop).

I don't think I would ever have a need for such a thing myself, therefore I don't carry one. Simple as that.

A350 worth it ?

Is it worth getting out of bed about 6 hours earlier to experience the A350 in D1 or would you stay in bed and take a later flight? I have considered this in the past but then the price suddenly increases but both are the same price at the moment.

What route are you flying and what is the alternative aircraft. If it is a 767 or a 777 as the alternative, I would pick the A350 any day over the 767 or 777. If the alternative flight is on an A330, I would probably value weather my time is more important or if I want a fairly new product. I would probably pick the A350 as I haven’t gotten a chance to personally fly on it yet, but that’s up to you to decide.

I'll echo this sentiment. The air quality on the A350 is just so much better than anything else that Delta flies, so you don't feel quite as awful after a long flight. That said, having just taken it TPAC and back, now that I'm looking at another TATL trip, given that my layover in AMS would be 2 hours with an A330 or many more hours with the A350 on the early DTW-AMS flight, taking the A330 is a no-brainer.
