Does look nice! Seems first one should meet the Oct/Nov DTW-NRT time frame.

I have a LAX-SYD flight in Feb next year (currently listed as 772ER). No C+ released on the flight so far. Looks like it might be targeted for a A359 swap?

DL is getting delivery of 5 A350's in 2017 with more in 2018, but I think it might be a little early to assume everything with a locked C+ will be the new plane.

DL could be doing that just to see if it is possible but I think we're going to see a lot of swaps back and forth until DL has the 15 delivered, and still some flux until 2020 when the full order of 25 is delivered.

I think this will be messy much like when the lie-flats were first starting to be rolled out where you had a lie flat until a sched change or DoD change and you didn't. However I do imagine that it will be a little better with true PE DL will try to be a little more judicious about last minute swaps as they won't have a similar cabin available for re-accommodations.

But I'd get used to the phrase "aircraft type and seats are not guaranteed"

I don't know how many 777s or 77Ls Delta will have converted by February. That unknown seems - to me - more likely that a 359 swap-in.

One Mile At A Time is reporting a rumor that DTW>NRT will be the first int'l route for the A350. Any credence to this? Or is it similar to the LAX-SYD report above?

Also, say it is the DTW>NRT route, I would assume that same plane would fly the return, correct? I ask because I have NRT>DTW booked already for next March and it would be awesome to get on the A350.

Article was posted internally today stating that sales for Delta One Suites and Delta Premium Select would begin tomorrow, June 17, for the inaugural flight DTW-NRT on October 30.

It would behoove anyone with GUCs (or willing to pay $6000) to call and lock in one of those suites (only two are currently sold) before the seatmap updates, the fares skyrocket, and the demand increases.

Word around Virginia Ave. was that the 77L would stay on LAX-SYD, as management believed it was better suited for the mission than the A350. However, sentiments may have changed if this is the case.

The 777 is the placeholder. As posted anove it hasnt been switched to A350 yet, but is supppsed to be. Thus the advice to book it now before it switches and the price goes up pnce actually switched.
