Sounds like Delta needs to suck it up and start sending people to any airline that they can, interline or not. Some people are still in ATL, having been there since Thursday (or even Wednesday, God help them).
I'm interested to see what happens with the earning call in a few days. $DAL deserves to drop 5-10% at next open.

Yesterday going MSP to BWI was painful, but nowhere near as bad a trip as a lot have experienced in the last few days
1pm flight was delayed 3 times, going from a 2 to 4 to 6 hour delays -- and finally being cancelled at 6pm. The crew never got out of the black hole that is ATL.
The re-booking part of the app was overloaded or just not working well, but I was able to confirm a seat on the 9am this morning.
I had placed a call to Cust Srvc when we were announced as cancelled and got the message about a 2 hour window for callback, but they got back to me in about 70 minutes. The agent was great. Multiple options were pursued and she eventually got me a C+ seat on the 8pm last night.
Every red coat and customer service rep I spoke to was very helpful. Our GA was harried and grumpy, but she was taking a lot of attitude from people.

Unless you have refundable fare, you won't be able to cancel for a refund unless your flight has already been delayed by more than 90 minutes. The waiver will let you apply the value of your ticket to a future flight with no change fee, but it does not provide for a full refund.

Speculation...and AGAIN...only speculation.
Is Ed going to survive this. He has been conspicuously silent throughout all of this. Twice in one year...not good.
Do they need to bring Richard Anderson back in to "right" the ship.
The earnings call on Wednesday should be interesting...if not even postponed. Who knows, but obviously things are not good right now.

Just a data point, but flying ATL-MSY on Tuesday PM we experienced a 90 minute delay due to to no FAs. I wonder if the seeds were being sown for an internal IT meltdown even before the more severe storms hit?
I proceeded on Southwest for two more legs, making last minute bookings. When I tried to book Delta, "no flights available" for HOU-ATL and IAH-ATL. No connections offered, no nonstops, no crazy high fares, just nothing available

It's been a week.
Flew BNA->ATL->RIC on Monday and was delayed 10 hours due to the stop issued for the tornado warning that day. Finally ended up landing at RIC at 315 am just in time to rough it for 8-5 meetings Tuesday.
Was supposed to get out Wednesday, same route, and was canceled on 3 flights (2 standby 1 confirmed) out of RIC. With all Thursday flights booked up or canceled at RIC (tornado system that shut down ATL/CLT moved through RIC Thursday AM), I was only able to get a confirmed seat out of ORF back to BNA through DTW for Thursday.
On Thursday, not only was ATL still clogging the system, but the storms and snow up north got us canceled to DTW, and the best I could get was 6am Saturday out of PHF. So had to spend a full day and 2 nights in Norfolk for no reason.
So I'm in my Uber on the way to the airport this morning at 4 am, and get notification that my flight is canceled AGAIN (9th confirmed+standby flight canceled for me since Monday). Luckily, got rebooked on the 1135 (and last of the day) flight out of PHF. And our plane is in the air due to land here in about 20 mins.
Packed for 2 days of travel, and now stretching it to almost 6 days having spend some 35 hours in 5 airports the last few days. Fully expecting the Hunger Games when I get to ATL this afternoon.

Originally had LHR-BOS booked for THUR 4/7, and then we were going home BOS-ATL on NW on points/companion pass. In December got the schedule change e-mail and managed to set up LHR-ATL-BOS with no intent to do the ATL-BOS run.
On Thursday LHR-ATL was fine, went home and wasn't aware of the ongoing issues, and today I see that wife and I have been rebooked on the 10:48p ATL-BOS flight today. Checked flightaware and see that our THUR ATL-BOS flight had been cancelled. So wasn't inconvenienced at all, but wonder if Delta will automatically give us some compensation for nothing???
Or maybe go to the airport tonight and see what's up, maybe VDB?

Also, I yell-laughed this morning in front of a bunch of other folks working options from the 6am cancellation when the Delta Medallion phone line estimated wait time was "between 7 hours and 44 minutes and 11 hours and 36 minutes".....was legit hilarious
