As of 2/14/17: 18 segments flown, 2 Medallion upgraded segments to F, 4 paid segments in F so that means I am 2/14 or about 14% upgrade success as a Platinum. All were MD-88/B717/MD-90 aircraft that I missed upgrades on. I was twice 1 out of XX on those missed upgrades. A lot of times the upgrade list was 40-50 people. I thought after 2/1 that it would get better but that's not the case. 14%!!!! I am flying usually Q fares from MSN<-->ATL<-->JAN admittedly during common times, but the tickets are usually $700-800. I'm already at $3300 in spend after 5 trips. That is disappointing, I'm not going to lie. In two weeks I'm on a $906 ticket for a 2400 mile RT ticket (700+500+500+700) and looking at F, it seems pretty unlikely. Good for Delta's business, bad for my enjoyment of PDB's.

This week was STL>COS for me.

2/13 STL>ATL @ Window
2/13 ATL>COS #3 for 4 UG at gate
2/16 COS>ATL #3 for 3 UG @ gate (saw them pull someone from C+ up as well)
2/16 ATL>STL @ Window

All in all a good week!

2/11 NAS-ATL @ Gate
2/11 ATL-DCA @ Gate

FWIW I had my Dad on the reservation which was causing issues w/ DL IT. When we split at the airport I was immediately #1.

Booked JFK-SFO non stop in April about two weeks ago. Opted to use RU certificates and see if I can get upgraded.

JFK-SFO RU cleared right after booking

SFO-JFK, RU cleared Sunday

So far 3/4 this year.

I flew Feb 13-15 LGA-DTW-NRT-SIN-NRT-DTW-LGA and listed with GUCs and was upgraded on all legs except for LGA-DTW.

The SIN-NRT leg cleared at booking with NRT-DTW waitlisted.

Outbound I listed only for the DTW-NRT upgrade and was waitlisted.

That leg cleared at the gate (was very lucky and was #4 out of 4 seats avail)

NRT-SIN cleared at the gate.

NRT-DTW cleared approximately 6 days before departure and I was able to snag seat 80K, the last upstairs.

Very successful mileage run. Enjoyed the service all around!

Paid or award ticket? (Non-status companions inhibit upgrades on award tix.)

Not that they can't be posted here but there's a thread specifically for GUC upgrade success:

1/11 so far. Only upgrade I got was BUF-DTW. Fly a lot between hubs with basically zero chance of upgrades but a few flights that in previous years I would have made it, I didn't.

1/21 SEA-SFO, T fare, upgraded at the window
1/22 SFO-SEA, X fare, upgraded at the window. For SFO-SEA The flight info screen says there's one person on the F upgrade list for 3 available seats.

So so far in 2017 I'm 100% - 11/11 - on eligible flights.

CHS-ATL: PM Window
ATL-BTR: D-5 3AM

I'm actually shocked that I cleared CHS-ATL at the window. C+ certainly didn't look promising.

As a DM with reserve card, I'm 13/17so far on eligible flights this year. Was way down the list for JFK-SLC, SLC-PDX, and PDX-JFK. Was first among all losers for JFK-SEA.
