Flying to MCO 4 times in a month. ATL-MCO. Most are 1/2 full but as a PM out of ATL I doubt I get any upgrades. Maybe some of the Sunday and Monday night returns. Less busy I suspect.

Doesn't help that DL hands out $30 upgrades to once a year flyers on that route.

Still waiting for my waitlisted (no pun intended)RUC to clear PDX/MSP/PDX Jan 3-5.
Applied it at booking on Nov. 29.

It'd be nice to start off the year with an UG.

My wife was just on a SFO-DTW flight. She (GM) was upgraded to FC five days out (never seen that before). Although economy was full, there were empty seats in flight in FC meaning that even all Silvers and non-revs were upgraded. It was Jan 1, so I guess that is when you can have the fewest elites ever on a Delta flight!

I booked Main Cabin. Took instant Economy Comfort upgrade.

The lowest it has been actually for the first two is 250 each way(Was as high as 500 each way). If it was 30, not going to lie, I would have taken it! Wed-Sun coming up and then Wed-Mon in two weeks.

I'm convinced that the low ball upgrade offers only go to kettles.

I'd tend to agree. The first year switch back to Delta from AirTran I got a few 'seriously it's that cheap' FCM. Most of the current ones are 2-3x what it would cost to cancel and rebook within 24 hours. The 1K round trip ATL-MCO "Upgrade" is 3x the ticket cost when you include the main cabin.

Only good one I got last year was a trip to San Antonio for my wife's sisters wedding. 64rt upgrade. Was great with my 2yr old daughter in the bulkhead.

I wonder if offers are tied to name or SM number. Perhaps a lack of number on a reservation would yield better FCM offers.

No luck so far in 2017. Maybe I should try flying.

In all seriousness I have an RUC waitlisted for my first flight of the year (Jan 13) and no luck yet. Cabin is 50% full. Guess I will wait for it at the gate...

MSP/PDX January 6th cleared and 2 remaining FC seats left on tomorrow's flight.
Gate UG maybe....

MSP-ORD was upgraded at the window on a cheap fare. About four upgrades were done then and within the next day or so, four additional FC seats are occupied, leaving 4 of 16 available on my flight.

I didn't bite on the FCM offer of $72 each way, equal to the fare difference. It appeared around the time I booked, disappeared for the rest of my 24 hour cancel period, and then reappeared briefly at the same price.

RUC for SDQ-JFK next weekend cleared.

While it might seem to be a waste of a RUC, DL seems to be doing very well in the SDQ routes. While in the past my companion and I cleared at the Gold or Silver window, since the 2nd half of 2016 all my upgrades as a Gold or Platinum were processed at the gate, sometimes I got the only seat available.
