Likely an overlook by whoever named the rice pudding, since it also says 'vegetarian selection'. The vegetarian selections are generally good, but I'll steer clear away from anything that is actually vegan.

One shouldn't expect 'vegan' food on a plane unless you bring your own on board. :p

Yes I had this same problem a few weeks ago, and yes I believe it was because the ticket was not reissued.

Good advice here! I had exactly this same problem with a trip I had upgraded using RUCs. I called in, the final segment was upgraded, and the ticket was "fixed" so I could select my meals.

BBQ Wing Platter on Delta One?

Interesting offering of the BBQ wing platter as entree on Delta One, anyone tried it (or got pics)? How many wings do you actually get? Won’t be amused if they place 3 tiny wings on a plate and call it a platter/entree 😅

I think this thread is more about the logistics/how/when of pre-ordering. Actual experiences/pix of the food tend to be posted in the in-flight service thread.

The BBQ wing platter was reviewed recently in post 1693: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delt...l#post34568047

Is this thread also for pre ordered economy meals? Because if so the labeling on diabetic meal indicates it’s also the low calorie, low fat, low carb meal.

it actually wasn’t bad - chicken, spinach and cherry tomato medley (probably) and cauliflower risotto which was quite good for what it was,

Probably a silly question, but is the option to pre-order meals in D1 available when flying on a KLM ticket?
I have the Fly Delta app and am due to fly in less than a week, but until now I haven't seen an option to pre-order.

If it helps, the flight in question is FRA-DTW.

Yes, but it needs your email in the DL reservation. (Not just your FF, but email address in reservation) Otherwise it won't send a link and app wont offer it as option, as it sees a KL flight number.

You can call in. However most agents only know of "special meals," not pre-order of regular meal.

Thank you! Do you know whether there is any way to add an e-mail to the reservation (via KLM/with Delta directly?)?

Assuming you are getting credit for DL skymiles for the KLM ticket and your DL frequent flyer # is in the record, you should be able to see it in delta.com and pre-order special meals under Trips (you can also add your frequent flyer #). KLM and Delta are well integrated, so a Delta agent should also be able to add it easily when calling into their customer service line.

I leave OKC late Saturday then catch the midnight express to ICN.
No email to preselect meal and no such option when I login on the web.
I spoke to DL and they seemed somewhat confused about identifying options then making a selection.
If DM phone agent did make a selection, I did not get an email confirming this.
What might explain this for a 15.5 hour flight? One international trip earlier this year left off my choice for preselect and I was very unhappy with what was left once onboard.

OP isn't asking about special meals. Rather about pre-selecting their entree.

Have you gone into app? there is no confirmation email.

You are correct that everything shows as it should in the app although all these data are missing from the web version.
In the past, I would get an email about a selection, make a choice, get email confirmation telling me how long I had to change that choice.

In the meantime, can someone remind of the other meal services on a 15.5 hour flight? I sure hope they don't stick us with breakfast for the 4:30 am arrival.

Dinner on departure, snack (usually hot) mid flight, and pre-arrival meal. As it is midnight departure I'm not sure if they serve same pre-arrival as if noon departure. (I've always taken the noon departure)

SAN-ATL Lunch

Korean BBQ Spice Impossible Burger
Chilled Spiced Chicken Breast
Chilled Spiced Shrimp

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...39004b745b.jpg

So the only hot option is the Impossible nonsense.

Anybody had any of these? I thought I saw the impossible one recently but can't find it with a search.
