I recently had issues with my Pre-Select meal "saving" when I would select it on the app and never go the email to do so. It was an RUC upgraded flight but when I went to check-in, I couldn't and called to see if it had been re-issued correctly, and it wasn't. So didn't realize that was a clue to ticketing issues, I think....anyone also have this same problem?

Amazingly, I found your post after trying 5 times on the Delta app to order a meal for my wife and me for a trip in 5 days. Three of the four segments had already been upgraded using RUCs (two outbound and one of the two inbound). Each time I entered a choice, it would come back with an internal server error and ask me to try again. So I saw your post and realized it might be a problem with the tickets never being reissued properly. I called the Diamond line, and this is where HUCA advice can be extremely valuable. The first agent I spoke with did not know what an entree was when I said that I was unable to choose one. I explained that it is a French word meaning a first course that is widely misused in the U.S. to mean the main course. I told her that I suspected the tickets had not been reissued properly. She said that this was not the case. She then read me all of the Special Meals, and asked whether I might want a lactose-free one or a Kosher one. At that point I thanked her and called again. When I explained my problem and the potential problem, she said that would explain everything. After only 44 minutes on the phone the tickets had been reissued, the fourth segment was upgraded to First, and we were able to choose Impossible Burgers...

Trying to do a simple meal selection when flying SFO-JFK and the app/site error out has been a PITA. The representatives online and phone have no idea how to help. First agent refused to tell me the entree options and kept insisting they cannot help unless I only select vegetarian option. Second agent tells me that only passengers can select meals, I am the passenger - their responses after that are basically nonsensical. Both of these are online chats at this point. Call in thinking it will be easy, but nope - agents also say they cannot help. Twitter agents also confirmed they can no longer assist with anything other than special meals, is this right?
At least I had no issues selecting my return entree. I thought DL had good tech and service. Guess that was from pre-covid. |

Friday I’m flying CDG-SLC on delta metal, marketing carrier AF and booked on AF ticket. I’ve received no email to select my D1 meal, nor is anything visible on the DL app. Is there any way to select entree? I spoke with Delta on iMessage and they implied you have to be a SkyMiles member and logged on the app to get the option (I’m a flyingblue member and don’t want to earn SkyMiles) Is this information correct?

Hello…where in the Delta app will that option (pre-select meal 7 days prior to departure) show? Thank you.
"The Delta App lets you pre-select meals 21 days prior to departure." |

Has anyone had the toasted pumpernickel and avocado? If so, any ideas why it’s not marked as vegetarian? Whilst not all cheese is vegetarian, ricotta normally is. Has this got some surprise meat in it like the three cheese quiche does? |
Also laughing at the honey in the "vegan" pudding...
