New here - these posts have been helpful so I thought i would add my experience. We just got the menu selection email right around T70 as was listed. Here are our options

Sorry I tried to post a pic and it wouldn't let me:

* Grilled beef tenderloin with parmesan chive mashed potatoes, sauteed spinach, roasted pearl onions
* Pan fried chicken with lemon caper piccata sauve with haricots vert and fresh ricotta tortellini
* Four cheese caramelle pasta with smoked fontina cream, wild mushrooms, and roasted tomatoes

PS - our flight says dinner and lunch - do we just get preselection for one and the other is a surprise?

Keeps erroring out on me and phone number says they can't pre order meals. Any one have a solution? Tried three different browsers as well as mobile. AA's system is much better.

I think you got an unmotivated or uninformed phone agent.

Had a GUC clear at T-36 for a flight; on request, neither the phone agent that reissued the ticket nor two Facebook Messenger agents were able to do the meal preorder.

*AMC and *TDL were pretty impervious to my request, even though I had past examples of *HGG doing it. Just another example of the Atlanta and Tampa call centers being worse than the angels at Hibbing. (I’d pay 50,000 SkyMiles a year if it meant all my calls and chats routed exclusively to the Iron Range call center - the agents are so much better than everywhere else it isn’t funny.)

The good news is they sent a preorder mail anyway! It came just a few hours before the T-24 cutoff, but that was enough to get the order placed. (And thank goodness it showed up, because this flight was either the Chicken Niçoise salad or the mushroom lasagna, two pretty polarizing choices. Not a menu I’m a huge fan of but it seems to keep showing up...)

The new updated Fly Delta App 5.1 now let’s you Pre-Select Meals 21 days prior to departure.

Can't PS also preorder dinner main courses?

iOS? I'm only seeing 5.0.1 still for Android. Though I remember seeing a post (on FB I think) about someone getting an early invitation to preview 5.1 though.

EDIT: nvm I see the other posts in the app thread.

Just updated my app to the new 5.1 (on iOS) and can confirm the meal pre-select worked for itineraries inside of 21 days until check-in.

I have a return portion that will be inside of the 21 day mark tomorrow, so will watch and see that the option appears.

Overall, a nice benefit!

Back in late October I was in PS from MSP-ICN and did not receive a pre-select email for PS like I do for F or D1 flights. (It appeared no other PS passengers had been offered pre-select either). Not sure if this new app update provides the ability to PS passengers or not. It would be a nice touch! For now I think it’s just F or D1.

Where did you find the selection option on the app? I have several flights within the next 21 days over mealtimes but don’t see any selection options.

I had to refresh the reservation twice after clicking it and I now see "select your entree" under the segment
