This wiki is intended to contain a list of opportunities to fly internationally configured wide-body aircraft within the United States, aside from the usual JFK-LAX/SFO 767s and newer domestic DeltaOne routes. This is a collaborative wiki, not an OP-maintained thread; please contribute by editing the wiki directly as you become aware of regularly scheduled or repositioning flights. Schedules change far more frequently than community members have time to update this wiki; therefore please verify the equipment before purchasing a flight.

These international narrowbodies would normally also fly the domestic DeltaOne routes JFK-LAX/SFO, BOS-LAX, and DCA-LAX.

During COVID-19, when many international routes are suspended, they can be found on some domestic routes (including Hawai'i):

Regular service through March 2021:
JFK-LAS
JFK-PHX
JFK-SAN
JFK-SEA
JFK-SFO
JFK-SLC
LAX-KOA
SEA-KOA
SEA-OGG

Positioning / one-offs:
SLC-SEA
SLC-LAS
SLC-BOS 4x a week
BOS-LAX
JFK-MEX
JFK-SJU
LAX-HNL

one way to search for these on ITA

This Delta Cargo schedule lists wide body routes by region.

Looks like the A350 is running between LAX and ATL, Sunday only Red-Eye to ATL, Monday evening only return to LAX. Through Sept. 6th

I flew MIA-ATL in December 1985 once, it was an L-1011 (as it turns out, my only flight ever on this aircraft type). This was my first flight as a Delta passenger.

If we could suss out future 76X runs to ATL-Florida, I'd love that. Beats the hell out of the 757s usually on the route.

There used to be during summer a morning 763 between MCO/SLC. Looks like has gone back to non-widebody now that summer is over.

You can search a month at a time using ITA Matrix with "aircraft t:767" in the extended codes field, per the wiki.

Looks like there's a 767 ATL-MCO for most of November. Thanks for the advice on the code; I'd tried the codes before but had trouble getting them to work.

I stripped out the miscellaneous 767-related codes and just threw in the 767 itself alongside the others (and pulled the 747 from the mix). Looks like there's at least one day of an A330 thrown in (December 1).

Until March of this year, there was a GRU-MCO flight on a 767. The plane continued on to SLC, I've taken that flight a couple of times. No more unfortunately.

I thought GRU was a 764, not 763. At least the two times I flew the MCO/SLC it was a 763.

A330 for ATL-PHX during Mar'20

DL1041 Departing ATL at 11:22AM is showing as an A330-300 starting March 11 of next year. In 2019, DL ran a 767-400 during the month. Its a nice ride for the route!

Recently I was reading some fare rules that had long lists of (widebody presumably with flat bed seats) aircraft where the fare wasn't applicable. IIRC in the past it was DL routes with D1 service (versus just D1 aircraft with D1 seats in the "FC" cabin) that tended to be excluded or command a premium price. BTW, these were not cheap fares.

Anyone know if/when they'll return some 767s between SFO and JFK?

My most frequent flight by far and the delta one upgrade was nice while only gold. Though maybe I'll stand a chance on 757 at off-hours now as a platinum.

Welcome to FlyerTalk. My guess would be: no. DL seems to be much more passive lately with SFO; 767s and even A330s were common not too long ago. Now seems to be a lot of 739s and 757s. My guess is that a UA fortress hub and AS major hub makes SFO just not that appealing for DL.

On the other hand, SJC has seen a pretty major DL buildup. SJC-SLC was mostly CR2s just 5 years ago, was upgraded to CR9s and now is virtually all mainline. SJC-SEA didn't exist 5 years ago and now is mostly mainline as well. SJC-ATL went from one 738 to three 739s and now sees 757s regularly.

Have a PNS-ATL-LAX-HNL roundtrip coming up next year on a 753(75Y) for the LAX-HNL portion and back. This is probably a huge no but do they ever run a 75S or widebody with D1 on this route? TIA!

But I believe the daily 767-300 on LAX-HNL departs in the morning (about 0830) - no way someone from PNS is making that flight. It would be possible to get the 767-300 coming back, connecting to LAX-ATL redeye.

Best option for a widebody/D1 is PNS-ATL-HNL.
