Not on DL, but even Richard Nixon does it!
A buddy sent me a link to an interactive history of Aviation produced by UK news outlet The Guardian. It's really interesting, and as an aviation geek, I loved it, capturing the progression of ticket sales, aircraft production, and innovation over the past century.

Hall of Shame: Photographic Evidence of Disgusting Acts by Delta Air Lines Passengers
So... The other day I had a guy next to me all decked out in his suit and lookin spiffy and important for the flight in F from JFK to SLC.
The flight takes off and he orders a glass of red wine and an additional empty glass. He then proceeds to take a swig, swish it around and spit it into the empty glass. This continues until he finishes the wine transfer of glasses and then orders another and another empty.
After I shoot a few glances of "what the hell are you doing", he says "I love wine but don't drink alcohol".
It was pretty damned disgusting.
No photograph cause he was right next to me and it would have been obvious, but I figured it was good enough to tell.

Odd...... I don't think Friends of Bill W. would say that is appropriate. At a minimum, that really is playing with fire (on the scale of blow torch in one hand, bag of fireworks in the other, standing in the middle of a field that has long dry grass right where someone just spilled a jug of gasoline).

It could also be just a personal choice. I know many people who say that although they drink or drink occasionally, they do not drink on an airplane because of the effects of alcohol and altitiude, so it could also be that.

I hope you got an extra plate with your dinner so that you could chew each piece of food and then deposit it on the plate with the excuse that you like the taste of food but don't care to actually consume calories.

I agree that both are disgusting and I realize you are merely attempting to use an analogy to illustrate your point; but what you describe could be the sign of an eating disorder — certainly not analogous and potentially more serious in terms of health issues than simply swishing wine in one’s mouth before spitting it out.
