I got my first ride last night in MSP along with my wife and son. I saw it parked there when we pulled up and crossed fingers that it was for us ... and it was!

We had less than an hour to connect from B12 to G4 to catch the last AF flight of the night to CDG. Thanks to DL for taking good care of us!

I don't know why Delta didn't like me as a Diamond the last few years.

Just got 3rd ride one of the year just now in SEA. Would have been fine (had about 55 minutes to go from A-something to S1).

Instead of going directly to connecting flight at S1 to MKE she took me through the bowels of the airport and escorted me up the elevator to the (not as nice) S lounge. Had time for a glass of wine and a snack.

I know it is just an ego stroke, but still enjoy it.

Got one on a Porsche Cayenne at DTW two weeks ago.

Guy at jet bridge had our names on iPad and also another flyer (DM).

Our connection was going to be tight as we went from C to end of A but connection to MEM was delayed.

Sent the Porsche anyway. I was pleased and only a lowly PM ...

Porsche Rides Gone?

I have never once gotten to ride in a Porsche between connections for years as a DM and I’m curious if they are going away or only for 360 and high end folks?

i remember them being designed for people with tight connections and I recently had 20 minutes to make a 16 minute walk from door to door with nothing.

just curious of the status of those rides

I had one (for the first time!) about two months ago in DTW, on a BDL-DTW-MKE itinerary. The strange part is that the planned connection time was about 1:15, and the DTW-MKE had been delayed by an hour since way earlier in the day, leaving me with over two hours for the connection.

It was certainly cool, but I thought it was kind of pointless for them to pick me for the ride given how much time I had to kill.

After having no rides for a number of years as a DM, I've had three this year. So they are making up for their oversight

Last was in July I think. Check out the 'Delta Picked Me Up In A Porsche' thread.

Edit: My last post in that thread was on July 9, and there is only one later post on July 10th. So no one on FT has been reporting a ride in over 2 months.

My only Porsche ride was from the ATL museum to the airport Hilton after some event. I fly from a hub and try to avoid tight connections, so on the basis of need, I would be low priority.

I had one about a month ago at DTW on a SBN-DTW-SFO itinerary. Surprised the heck out of me. I’m just a lowly PM.

This is basically experience. I hadn't had any since they announced the program. Since the start of the year I've had three. Two were at MSP (including in the dead of winter) and one at LAX going from DL to KL flight. (They prioritize DL-DL before DL-partner, but will bring you to any partner from what I was told)

At MSP in the dead of winter, wouldn't it be better to deplane and board through the jetways (even if they're not well heated) and stay inside rather than face the elements getting to and from a nice heated waiting Porsche?

The Porches are primary used for VIP Select customers (executives, celebrities, high end clients) who pay for the service. Those agents fill in their gaps, if there’s nothing else critical going on, with the runs for DMs and 360s. Paying clients take precedence though.
