Does it require being a high value tin medallion to be picked up in the white mini van?
I got one of the Porsches Tuesday evening at ATL. Flew from SNA and Anan meet me at the door, down the stairs and over to E for my AMS flight. At first I thought I was in trouble. Need to get over that fear. Nice ride over, he thanked me for being a Diamond and up the stairs and into E. Saved me some time and it was nice a Delta to do it. I like the redone SKY Club in E more though.

I "think" that this was supposed to happen for me today - instead, all I got was 25 minutes of aggravation. When we landed from DFW, it was announced that I was to meet someone on the jetbridge. When I got there, the only person was with airserv (wheelchair). I went all the way to the end of the jetway and asked the GA there. She said all she knew was someone with "green badge" needed me. Made me wait to be escorted back down to plane - still nobody on the jetbridge but the airserv person. Redcoat came down - said she didn't know - made me go back up to the gate and wait. Finally called gate and told me to go. While this might have been a nice touch at the beginning - in the 25 minutes this took, I could have already walked to my car!

I only waited so long because there was no indication why I was being called out - wanted to make sure there was no issue!

If this was why, I give DL a 10 for the thought and a 1 for the actual execution!

My understanding from the driver that picked me up the one time I have been met, was that the service is on an 'as available' service. The driver said they have a list of flyers who are to be met each day, but my guess (and this is only a guess) is that there become issues with availability depending on where the previous flyer/pick-up is going. It obviously takes much longer for the elite services team to drive someone to their car, to a local hotel, to the rental car location, etc. than it does to drive them to baggage claim or another gate. As such, I would imagine that there are times when best intentions are that they are available to meet the next person on their list but the timing doesn't work out.

Sorry to hear that it sounded like your good fortune of the Porsche pickup didn't work out. Perhaps they'll make certain that you get it the next time through ATL!

Because of the O inventory issues with KLM, I am having to layover in ATL on a BE ticket (M/SWU) IST-JFK-ATL-OKC. What are the odds that I would be a candidate for the Porsche late on a Tuesday?

Edited to ask that if you get the Porsche do you get luggage straight from the plane and go on to the hotel?

They will drop you to baggage claim. Fishing your bags out of hundreds of others is just not feasible.
Or you can try to check your bags to the final destination. Ask at check-in.

Photo evidence!

Was at A17 yesterday in seat 1D. Up pulls the white Porsche, sits a couple of minutes. Woman gets out from the passenger side, driver pulls her bag out, she heads up the stairs in the A concourse.

Snapped this pic:

we've been hearing for a while that the program is going to be extended to other hubs. Whats the timeline for this? I'd love to see it at JFK. Take me directly to my car in LTR

I had my first Porsche pick up today.
DWT-ATL
3 of us were met - there was a medical emergency on board, we landed 30 minutes early and went straight to the gate.
After letting the medics on board, we then went down to the Cayenne waiting next to the ambulance.

Did they explain why they picked you up? Where did they take you?

All 3 of us did not have checked luggage.
Kevin said he wanted to thank us for our loyalty to Delta.
2 of the guys were dropped off at the taxi stand, I was taken to the door of my Park n Fly bus.
Btw, I was flying on an L fare and was upgraded for that flight.

I was at a PCA (Porsche Club of America) concours car show this weekend and mentioned my pickup. One of the other members said that he was recently met after buying a new Carrera. He was assuming that was the reason though he also flys FC a lot and is the CEO of a large company.
I'm not sure if there is any link with Porsche with regard to PCA membership or recent car purchases, would be interested to know.

I did not get the Porsche last night on a BE (M/SWU) from IST via JFK and I had one checked bag. I keep telling myself it was because we landed 1 hour early but it looks like I'm not eligible for the Porsche.

Got picked up by the Delta Porsche

I had heard about this program but I got to experience it first hand yesterday. As I deplaned, the driver (a very nice, friendly, good looking young lady) was in the jetway with my name on a placard. We went down the steps that are attached to the jetway where the car/SUV was waiting. She used the key fob to open the back hatch automatically so I could put my laptop and backpack in. I jumped in the passenger front seat and off we went from C concourse to A concourse. She parked next to gate A 17 and we went up the stairs. A couple of turns and I'm at the entrance to A concourse SkyClub.

It was a cool experience and I have a couple of photos if anyone is interested.
