Any plans of upgrading / making the app compatible with the Android Jelly Bean OS? I recently purchased a Nexus 7 Tablet and would really like to install the Delta App on it.

My Galaxy Nexus just upgraded to JB and the app is still present and kind of works, but it's force closing a lot and the zoom on the seat maps is all wonky.

Was working great on ICS, except for the neverending "loading" spinny doodad.

I am technologically challenged....

...so this is just as likely a user issue as a software issue. I am operating on a Sony Xperia X10 MiniPro (love a phone that easily fits in my pocket).

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to update my itineraries on the Delta Android app. Old flights from 2-3 months ago are still listed in my itineraries and new flights don't yet show unless I manually enter them one at a time by PNR. What am I doing wrong?

We've gotten reports of the "loading information" and we continue to try and find a reason for it. We'll continue to investigate and hope to get this resolved.

As for the missing Zone and Sky Priority from the EBP, let me see what is going on with that.

Thank you for following up and hopefully you will find a resolution to the "loading information" issue soon! My current workaround when that happens is to kill the app then when I open up the app again it loads the "archived" information, and then I would just select the check-in: XXX-XXX and view the upgrade/standby lists from there. Works like a charm for me, because when I try to view the upgrade list via My Trips [after skipping the loading information by killing the app] I will get "This app is having technical difficulties" message.

As for the SkyPriority/Zone issue, that seems to only be an issue on flights operated by a regional partner [which I see all the time flying to/from PIT]. I hope your team will reinstate the SkyPriority banner for those flights [including single cabin flights] solely for access to express security lanes. I have had to pull up a boarding pass for another mainline flight to show that I am eligible for SkyPriority sometimes.

Thank you for your participation here and it is great knowing that our feedbacks are going straight to the developers! I really appreciate your interactions here and working with us to resolve issues with the Android App ^^^ :)

And I am baaaack! :p

Anyway, I noticed another bug, not a big deal, but I thought I'd share...

Last year my AUS trip itinerary got stuck in the app as in it was still there weeks after the trip rather than disappearing 24 hours or so after the trip. My only solution was to uninstall the app and re-install it to flush out the local app data.

A year later, I am getting trip alert messages in my notifications bar for AUS-SLC [Delta 4684] for today, which is the trip I took last year!

It is not a big deal, I'll just clear the notifications list and it is all good. It gave me a brief heart attack yesterday when I got a message alert thinking I must have booked a trip on the wrong date :o

Very odd indeed. You should not have to manually update anything. When you log in, your current itineraries should load automatically and your used ones automatically drop off.

I have the same problem. I find I have to use task killer to close the app, then when I open it again I have to reenter my credentials, and usually it works fine after that. I've used both the Android and iPhone versions of this app, and unfortunately the Android version is very buggy and prone to departures to la-la land, seemingly stuck in an infinite loading loop. As much as I prefer my Android, the iPhone version just works better.

As you can see from my long timeline of regular posts in this thread, I've been plagued with the same problem for every Android version of the app that's been released. I've also been totally hosed at the gate a few times when the app got stuck in the infinite loop of "loading information" and/or "downloading itineraries" and I couldn't pull up my BP.

At this point, after so much frustration, wasted time, and no recent bug releases, I think I should give up. It's clear to me that they aren't as interested in fixing the bugs of the Android app as I think they should be. And that's too bad, because I really like the functionality and interface when it works (although I'm still mystified as to why no booking functions have been added).

We'll have a release that we're working on that we hope will tackle this issue - as well as many other issues that people have brought up.

Are we talking weeks or months until that release will come out? Thanks.

I would hazard to guess that they don't think too many people would use that particular function. I don't like to do a whole lot of web searches on my iPad, I find it much easier to do on a computer; I would imagine that would be even more painful on a phone.

Any word on Nexus 7 support? At this point the Delta app is the only App I use that isn't supported on my tablet.

We'll be making adjustments to support devices that do not have a rear facing camera (this includes other devices such as the Kindle Fire).

mobile BP not working

Just used mobile check-in this morning, and my mobile BP is just an empty box with the word "Barcode" in it, with unformatted text/flight info. below it. :td:

FlyDelta v1.7.2 (haven't updated to the latest version since CA's AG stopped browsing FB to file a frivolous suit)
