check-in
 
So far, checking in with the app has been working pretty well for me. But when trying to check in for my itinerary tomorrow, I didn't see the check-in button appear in my reservation until I logged out, closed the app, logged back in, and and refreshed my reservation list.

I had to do something similar the other day when I SDC'd to an earlier flight, and I wanted the app to show me the new flights. But I see that this has been mentioned above.

I just thought that I'd report it here, since there's nothing special about this reservation, and this is my first time experiencing the issue.

HTC Inspire
Android v2.3.3
Delta v1.6

I have an itinerary to MLB. I fly into MLB tomorrow (Sunday) and fly back out on Wednesday. The flight number is the same for the ATL-MLB flight and the MLB-ATL flight, DL2195.

It looks like having the same flight number on two consecutive legs is confusing the app when I go into the seat map function. When I click "next flight" it skips from the first DL2195 and jumps right past the second DL2195 to the last leg of the 4-leg itinerary. When it is showing the seat map for DL2195 ATL-MLB is shows DL2195 MLB-ATL at the top of the screen.

FLL moved to Germany?
 
@Danny. I think many in Florida would not be happy to find FLL has been moved Germany! :p

I flew Sunday MSP-TUS Wednesday DEN-ATL-HOU and tried to check in today HOU-ATL-MSP. The says I have checked in and that the boarded passes are here but all I see is the DEN-ATL-HOU. I have rebooted the phone and tried again and same issue.

This will be fixed in an upcoming update due out pretty soon.

When using the app on phones with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) the checkin button does not work. You can click it but no action occurs. Would love to see this fixed in a future update! thanks

Flight notifications problem
 
Hello Android Fly Delta team

Using the latest Fly Delta version 1.7 on Nexus S phone with Android 4.0.3...

I'm seeing a problem with the flight notifications that the app publishes to the Android alert bar at the top of the screen. When I pull down the alert bar to see the details of the notifications, the Fly Delta notification text is displayed using a white color font, with a very light grey (almost white) background. This makes the text almost impossible to read.

I would appreciate if the notifications could be made easier to read - as is, on this device, the notifications are pretty unusable because I can't read them.

I am pretty sure that the previous version of Fly Delta had notifications which were readable. I don't know for certain if it was Fly Delta 1.7 or Android 4.0.3 or the combination which results in white print on white background for the alert notifications.

As noted in the release notes, this was fixed with 1.7.

Thank you for the heads up. Out of curiosity was the 4.0.3 update pushed out by the carrier or has your phone been rooted and the version installed by some other process?

I received Android 4.0.3 over the air (OTA) a few weeks ago (the invitation was via T-Mobile but the update was something like 120 meg and Google suggested in the OTA notification that users should first connect to WiFi and then allow the download to proceed). I don't know how to root my phone so it's a stock Nexus S.

new version (mostly) useless
 
The DL app has been mostly useless for me since the last update. I'm only batting about 50% getting past the "logging in" step without getting the "sorry, the app is having technical difficulties..." But when I do get to the "loading information" and/or "downloading itineraries" step, the app hangs indefinitely almost every time. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling fresh with no effect.

It's definitely not a data connectivity issue, as previous versions worked OK (still got the "sorry..." messages when logging in or trying to load the upgrade list, but not nearly as often). Although, when it actually worked for me the other day I was connected to 4G only. From looking at the reviews in the Android Market, it appears as though I'm not the only HTC user who is experiencing issues.

I have the exact same phone with the exact same situation. I sent an 'bug report' using the Android Market link and hopefully something will be done. Very frustrating.

Selfishly, I'm glad it's not just me ;). If the previous version was (mostly) working on your phone, did you have to occasionally encourage the app to show you the upgrade list? When I would try to retrieve/refresh the upgrade list, sometimes the app would tell me "sorry..." or "the upgrade list is unavailable," even when it was available (after the second or even third try). :(

Shuttle Trouble
 
Whenever I use the app to check in for Shuttle flights, the kiosk or baggage drop agent subsequently prints a seat request card rather than a boarding pass. Because Shuttle seating is always unassigned (on the BOS and DCA routes), is it possible that the app gets confused and unnecessarily triggers a seat request card?

I know others have different priorities, but this app is not very interesting to me without the ability to search for AND book flights as I would from a web browser interface. (including flexible dates and airports)
