So, when will we be able to book flights with this? UG lists, seat maps, etc, are all great things, but I mainly just need to buy a ticket.

At 3:45, the main page showed me a flight tomorrow at 1:01, and offered to let me check in. But attempting to, it said that check-in "will be available" at 1:01 PM.

Another path let me check in.

The (free) bag I said I'm checking had "special item" checked until I went to the web site and re-checked-in.

Has anyone had problems changing seats with the new app? I can see my seats, and when I select a new seat it appears to change. But when I go back into the seat map I still have my original seats. Changing them on delta.com still works fine, but not with the new app.

Completely agree. These other "bells and whistles" are nice, but if you can't let us shop for (and BUY) tickets, the app will always be "second tier" compared to CO, AA, and even Southworst...

I reported this exact issue via the delta.com feedback form. The response back to me said that they would forward to the appropriate team. If you listened to your customers you could have had this fixed months ago!

I had the exact same thing happen to me yesterday. (with different times, of course)

In short, IT doesn't make announcements; the communications people have that task. :D What I think you are really asking is 'when will Delta customers be able to book tickets on mobile apps?' While we are not ready to share timing yet, we can tell you that it is something we are working on for future versions.

Our executives (Bob Kupbens in particular) have been very clear with media outlets asking that same question. Our first priority is to offer customers the mobile tools they need to get through the airport quickly and easily. We want to do it right and in a way that is both intuitive and simple for our customers.

For now, our focus is on tools that get you out of lines and through the airport quickly but we have our team working on booking tools for mobile apps as well. It's just too early to give out timelines...

We have identified the issue and this will be changed with the next version of the application. It should be do out soon.

Could you provide a little more detail as far as how you are interacting with the seat map? Are you seeing the "Assigning Seats" dialog show and then there is no error message? And what are the other actions you are taking (such as moving to a next flight and is it in the expandable view at the top or is it using the "next flight" button at the bottom right; are you completing by using the "done" or "save and continue" button or are you using the back button on the device?

For one of my flights tomorrow, I am on the upgrade list. The Android app shows:

Seats Available
First/Business 0
Status                  Passenger

(3 of 6) Standby        Other pax
...
Total Seats Available: 44

Availability for the flight is J9 C9 D9 I9 S9 X0 Z0 Y9 B9 M9 H9 Q9 K7 L6 U0 T0 E0, and there are 11 seats showing open in Business. Why is the upgrade list reporting 0 seats available in First/Business?

G2X not showing bar code
 
I have a new G2X phone and the delta app, version 1.5.1. I just checked in for a flight in the morning and my boarding pass does not show the barcode on the pass. Instead, it simply has the word 'barcode' in the box where the code should be.

Is there something else I need to do on my G2X in order to make this work?

Is this a hard fail or intermittent? What route? Is this international? Perhaps the app has trouble with an international BE upgrade list (versus domestic).
