I am also wondering if anyone has had any luck lately triggering the airline credit purchasing airline gift cards. I just applied for this card and my statement closing date is 12/22. Attempting to collect the airline credit for this calendar year. However, on my account, it specifically states: "Qualifying transactions are those purchases made on domestic originated flights on certain U.S.-domestic airline carriers that include: preferred seating upgrades, ticket change/ cancellation fees, checked baggage fees, in-flight entertainment, onboard food and beverage charges and airport lounge fees affiliated with eligible airline carriers. "Airline ticket purchases, mileage point purchases, mileage point transfer fees, gift cards, duty-free purchases, award tickets and fees incurred with airline alliance partners do not qualify."

Seems fairly self-explanatory but I have read numerous reports of reimbursements in the past. Any recent luck with this?

Just found this and it seems the AA EGC purchase worked as of yesterday.

With all due respect, quoting fine print that has been there from day one as a reason why you don't think something will work, when people have posted all along and as recently as a month earlier that it worked fine can make you look foolish.

Should I assume that AeroMexico Baggage fees will not credit?

Need help on online transactions

Hi,

If you are able to help take a second look at your online BofA travel transactions (online tickets, e-gift cards, baggage fees paid entirely online, other online travel, Gogo, etc.) and see if they were marked with the Online Transaction flag, it would be appreciated. We are trying to plan for the new Cash Rewards 3% program starting in 2019, but not having to use the Travel category as the matching category. You can post your results in that thread..

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/30532487-post3.html

It does not matter which BofA card was used for the transaction.

Thank you.

I just purchased a $100 AA gift card but my statement closes in January 2019. Does this mean its too late for me to get a 2018 credit? When they eventually reimburse me, this will count as a 2019 credit?

Anyone know if Delta gift cards count towards the reimbursement? And also the above question. I have $50 credit left I'd like to use before end of the year

DeltaNeural28, did you get this reimbursed? Any other recent data points on Alaska? DOC data points show award taxes and award change fee triggered credit.

Also interested in any data points for ticket fares under $100, which trigger the Amex credit.

I had to call in and they had to raise a ticket internally and it posted a week later.

I had a few $48-ish tickets, and they triggered the BOA credit. The credits posted automatically a few days after the purchase.

Thanks. It would appear that sub-$49 (maybe even under $50) Alaska airfare will trigger credit.

Any thoughts if a miles transfer on Delta will trigger the credit? I need to top off my daughter's account for an award ticket.

AA $100 eGC DP:

Bought on Jan 8.

Transaction posted as Jan 9.

$100 Credit posted Jan 12.

Very similar timeframe back in Dec too, so obvious confirmation that BoA currently has travel credit by calendar year.

Cheap tickets on JetBlue - $48 and change - credited 5 days after purchase.
