I am also wondering if anyone has had any luck lately triggering the airline credit purchasing airline gift cards. I just applied for this card and my statement closing date is 12/22. Attempting to collect the airline credit for this calendar year. However, on my account, it specifically states: "Qualifying transactions are those purchases made on domestic originated flights on certain U.S.-domestic airline carriers that include: preferred seating upgrades, ticket change/ cancellation fees, checked baggage fees, in-flight entertainment, onboard food and beverage charges and airport lounge fees affiliated with eligible airline carriers. "Airline ticket purchases, mileage point purchases, mileage point transfer fees, gift cards, duty-free purchases, award tickets and fees incurred with airline alliance partners do not qualify."
Seems fairly self-explanatory but I have read numerous reports of reimbursements in the past. Any recent luck with this?

Just found this and it seems the AA EGC purchase worked as of yesterday.

Need help on online transactions
Hi,
If you are able to help take a second look at your online BofA travel transactions (online tickets, e-gift cards, baggage fees paid entirely online, other online travel, Gogo, etc.) and see if they were marked with the Online Transaction flag, it would be appreciated. We are trying to plan for the new Cash Rewards 3% program starting in 2019, but not having to use the Travel category as the matching category. You can post your results in that thread..

It does not matter which BofA card was used for the transaction.
Thank you.

I had a few $48-ish tickets, and they triggered the BOA credit. The credits posted automatically a few days after the purchase.
