Read post 844 for tips on being approved for the business card.
It may be easier to get approved for a new business with 0 years and $0 gross income.

Also see the Applying for Business Credit Cards [Consolidated] thread (not-BofA-specific) for general tips on applying for business cards.

Business card Recon Line:
April 2024: BOA Biz Recon (Small Biz Lending, Credit Analyst) 888-782-7717, 888-569-4439 (M-F 8am-7pm EST), both answered by live human in 2-4 minutes. (Both numbers confirmed multiple times in the past 2-3 days.)
866-695-6598 (8-7pm EST M-F)
Biz card status line: 888 663 6262 (not working)
Biz Card credit analyst line: 888-782-7717
Biz card expedited shipping: wait 24 hours after approval for a card number to generate then call 800-901-9830 and a person will answer. If 1st Rep says "no" ask him/her to ck. with a supervisor. This worked for me.

Credit Inquiries
Credit Inquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Inquiries for business cards come from FIA.
Credit bureaus usually merge inquiries from the same requester made on the same day.
Inquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

Does one have to call BoA to lower a card's credit limit?
Yes, there is no longer any way to contact BOA online. Phone is the only method currently.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

Can you send a secure message through your account online?
No. BOA has removed the secure message functionality, even for Preferred members. The only way to contact BOA now is to call them.

Can I apply for another personal Alaska card if I have one open already?
Some people still can, but these days many people get denied. If you don't want to risk getting denied, it's probably better if you close any existing personal Alaska cards before applying for another one. But be sure to lower credit limit as low as possible at least a few business days before you close the card (though the earlier you can do it the better), because credit limit that's left on the card when you close it stays unavailable to new card applications for a year or more (while credit limit that's lowered as a separate step becomes available to new card applications much sooner)!

My wife and I were both approved for the personal version on Saturday 1/5 after having closed the same card 60 days prior. We used the link from a dummy booking that offered 30K + $100. We are BofA customers and pre-filled the application after linking our BofA account login. I don’t think it matters, but I’ll also mention that I was using a VPN with the location set to California (was trying to generate the 40K link, to no avail). Not sure how we got through, but we did and I’m happy.

Were you hitting it hard in the last 12-18 months anyways though? Seems like this 24 month rule is just the nail in a coffin that was sealed shut already outside very isolated examples.

No, last churn was about 8 months ago for me. I had at one point about 4 cards at once, but that was 2 years ago now.

Also the 13 was personal/biz combo total. I'm sure others have done even more

So you're trying to say you aren't personally responsible for this new restriction?

Alaska Business card now Personal?

Just got approved for Bus card with 30k points. I thought they wouldn’t check my personal credit report but I got an alert that they did— curious as to why. The question I have is if I should apply for a personal Alaska card and when?

Yes, they will pull your personal credit report - because usually the T&Cs when you apply for such a card include a statement of personal liability jointly with your business. BofA and many (some exceptions) issuers do not, however, report your small business card account to your personal credit file with the credit bureaus.

Would you mind identifying how much annual revenue you claimed along with years in business?

You misunderstand business cards. They will and do pull your personal credit for approval. However, the credit line/card is not reported to your personal credit bureaus

Is it required to have a banking relationship with BofA to be approved. I applied for the Alaska 40k offer immediately after going over 5/24 with Chase and was denied due to having "too many recent inquires". I don't have any credit cards with BofA.

Not only is it not required, it is not any guarantee either. At most a long relationship may help a bit "around the edges".

But if you had too many inquiries for them, they might not approve no matter who you are.

What bureau did they pull, and how many inquiries in 6/12/24 months do you have at that bureau?

You check your inquiries for free on EX at Experian's website (ignore the top of the page and scroll down do Get Your Free Experian Credit Report) and on EQ/TU at Credit Karma.

Now that I have the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, I notice I'm not longer using the Alaska Airlines credit card regularly. I have this card primarily for the baggage fee credit and the annual companion ticket. Is there a risk of having this card cancelled by issuer for non-use? I could make some small purchases <$100 a couple times a year, but is that necessary? Are there any data points for cancellation due to non-use? I would hope not since this card charges an annual fee- more incentive for issuer to keep credit line open. Any thoughts?

I know for sure Citi will cancel cards for non-use. But no idea if B/A does that or not. But why even risk it? You don't have to spend $100 each time. I'd think just $5 or $10 twice a year would do the trick. So why not?

I did see on credit Karma that BOA did pull for a check on my personal credit for this business card. If I was applying for Chase cards am I considered 1/24 or 0/24 for the 5/24 calculation.?

5/24 is for accounts opened, not pulls on your cresit report.

Business account wont show up as account on your report.
