Business card Recon Line:
April 2024: BOA Biz Recon (Small Biz Lending, Credit Analyst) 888-782-7717, 888-569-4439 (M-F 8am-7pm EST), both answered by live human in 2-4 minutes. (Both numbers confirmed multiple times in the past 2-3 days.)
866-695-6598 (8-7pm EST M-F)
Biz card status line: 888 663 6262 (not working)
Biz Card credit analyst line: 888-782-7717
Biz card expedited shipping: wait 24 hours after approval for a card number to generate then call 800-901-9830 and a person will answer. If 1st Rep says "no" ask him/her to ck. with a supervisor. This worked for me.

Credit Inquiries
Credit Inquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Inquiries for business cards come from FIA.
Credit bureaus usually merge inquiries from the same requester made on the same day.
Inquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

Does one have to call BoA to lower a card's credit limit?
Yes, there is no longer any way to contact BOA online. Phone is the only method currently.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

Can you send a secure message through your account online?
No. BOA has removed the secure message functionality, even for Preferred members. The only way to contact BOA now is to call them.

Can I apply for another personal Alaska card if I have one open already?
Some people still can, but these days many people get denied. If you don't want to risk getting denied, it's probably better if you close any existing personal Alaska cards before applying for another one. But be sure to lower credit limit as low as possible at least a few business days before you close the card (though the earlier you can do it the better), because credit limit that's left on the card when you close it stays unavailable to new card applications for a year or more (while credit limit that's lowered as a separate step becomes available to new card applications much sooner)!

The link for the 70K biz card in the wiki says $75, but it says "Low annual fee of $70 for the company and $25 per card" on the app T&C's.
Ding, ding, ding... $70 plus $25 is indeed $95

Thanks. The application form displayed with my personal data automatically. My data probably came from the browser as you said.

I got an instant approval for the biz card. I was looking for the number here to request expedite shipping but didn't see it. Per the rep, you have to wait 24 hours after approval for a card# to generate and then call 800-901-9830 and a person will answer. Added to WIKI.

My so saw a flyer at boa branch today offering 70k and 10% extra for those with boa account. No idea if personal or business or both.

Edit - ignore - upon further check it was 10% extra on spend not bonus..

Nice. I've seen the 70K + $100 stmt credit a few times, the last couple days, on alaskaair.com. Comes & goes.

Thoughts on applying as an Aussie with an Australian residential address?

Yes, we have QFF cards here but I may have done most of them and now waiting for the clock to turn over again.

Or would you not recommend it and, if not, can you explain why? I've only ever had Australian bank cards to date.

Do you have a US SIN or ITIN and a US address?

I should have posted this earlier, but don’t come here often enough…on March 11, I made a dummy booking for a flight on the Alaska Airlines site, and saw an ad for the Alaska Personal Card with 70K bonus and $100 statement credit with $95 fee. The time to make the modest 3K spend is a little quick, ninety days. I applied online and was instantly approved. Two days earlier I had flown on Alaska Airlines and they were hawking the card with a 72,000 mile signup bonus and no statement credit if you turned in the application onboard. Minor data points if they are of use to anyone. After all the banking drama they may be a little more skeptical.

First time ever business app, instant approval - this I was not expecting. Are those days (and headaches) of opening a CD as collateral in the past?
Anyway FWIW on the personal card offers, I can echo that the personal 70k/$100 statement credit offer appears anytime I open the alaska site, even when not trying a dummy booking.

Congratulations , next step is craving , then addiction .

Cannot specifically answer the question. I’m Medicare aged, have had over 250 total credit card accounts, have followed the credit card forums here intensely for ~12 years, and cannot recall ever reading anything here about a CD as collateral for a credit card.

Have occasionally glimpsed an ad or information elsewhere about Secured Credit Cards, fortunately never had to go that route, always thought none of those cards would be highly rewarding in terms of points or miles.

A quick search of this thread shows >100 references to BOA requiring a CD if you wanted to be approved for the card. It happened to me too. They wanted most folks to open a $1500 CD. I declined. Seems to be in our rear view window now.

I did notice on applications for the new card that you get a 10% mileage bonus if you have a BofA (I think checking) account. Not sure if it's just credit card miles or all flown miles, too.

Is it possible to apply a business card when you already have a personal card?
