Read post 844 for tips on being approved for the business card.
It may be easier to get approved for a new business with 0 years and $0 gross income.

Also see the Applying for Business Credit Cards [Consolidated] thread (not-BofA-specific) for general tips on applying for business cards.

Business card Recon Line:
April 2024: BOA Biz Recon (Small Biz Lending, Credit Analyst) 888-782-7717, 888-569-4439 (M-F 8am-7pm EST), both answered by live human in 2-4 minutes. (Both numbers confirmed multiple times in the past 2-3 days.)
866-695-6598 (8-7pm EST M-F)
Biz card status line: 888 663 6262 (not working)
Biz Card credit analyst line: 888-782-7717
Biz card expedited shipping: wait 24 hours after approval for a card number to generate then call 800-901-9830 and a person will answer. If 1st Rep says "no" ask him/her to ck. with a supervisor. This worked for me.

Credit Inquiries
Credit Inquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Inquiries for business cards come from FIA.
Credit bureaus usually merge inquiries from the same requester made on the same day.
Inquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

Does one have to call BoA to lower a card's credit limit?
Yes, there is no longer any way to contact BOA online. Phone is the only method currently.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

Can you send a secure message through your account online?
No. BOA has removed the secure message functionality, even for Preferred members. The only way to contact BOA now is to call them.

Can I apply for another personal Alaska card if I have one open already?
Some people still can, but these days many people get denied. If you don't want to risk getting denied, it's probably better if you close any existing personal Alaska cards before applying for another one. But be sure to lower credit limit as low as possible at least a few business days before you close the card (though the earlier you can do it the better), because credit limit that's left on the card when you close it stays unavailable to new card applications for a year or more (while credit limit that's lowered as a separate step becomes available to new card applications much sooner)!

The link has been around for 5+ months or more as I originally got it from here for my personal list. It got no attention probably because bloggers can't earn referrals from it or maybe just because AS went out of favor due expected award changes.

I just fixed the wiki so the link should now work. It seems someone copy-pasted a resolved address instead of the original one, which caused the issue. I don't know exactly when, but I guess that doesn't matter.

How does Alaska count the "preceding 24 month period" for card / signup bonus eligibility? If one was last approved for the card on 2/28/2021 and canceled some months later, is it "safe" to apply on 3/1/2023 or should you wait a few more months (e.g., 24 months from when the cancellation occurred, 24 months from when the signup bonus posted)?

I’m not advocating for a hunt for the guilty party, but for future reference you can now see wiki history by clicking the “Last edited by …” line at bottom left.

(Yes, this was changed several weeks ago. No, there was no good reason to change this, let alone to make it so much harder to find.)

Anyone have recent experience calling in to check application status to hopefully speed things along? I have a pending application for a personal Alaska card since 02/10. I’ve called the standard BOA phone numbers a few times but all the reps have been incredible useless. They see the same info as the app status website and say I just need to wait. I found some other reconsideration line numbers but they are all dead.

I called in late Jan for a pending application and they said it was flagged for fraud. I asked to talk to the fraud department but they told me I needed to wait for the letter to come via snail mail and call back. So after I got the letter, I called back and they removed the fraud alert. I believe they only have one phone number for reconsideration / customer service. Good luck!

Thanks! Would you by chance still have the number? Only been that's been working for me is 800-732-9194 but all the reps have not been helpful.

I dug up my phone records and there were three numbers I called. One was the one you listed above. The other two were 877-383-0120 and 888-230-6262
I'm sorry but I made a quite a bit of phone calls to BoA during that time period and can't remember which one was the one that did the trick. I hope one of those work for you!

The new link goes to the 70K page then switches to the 'system unavailable' page like the original link did. It could be intermittent. The link on DoC's page is doing the same. Hopefully it is just temporary. I'd really like to pick up this offer in March.

Why not the 72K link? It was working yesterday & you don't have to enter the employee info.

I prefer to keep my 5/24 count down...so I prefer biz cards that don't add to that.

You didn't mention Business card so I assumed you were talking about the 70K Personal card.

Agree. BofA card offers change often so the 70K Business card offer could be back soon. Hope so.

Oh, right. I typed it in my head. But since that's what we had been talking about, I kind of kept in that same vein...I guess.

Thank you kind stranger. I had done some digging and only found dead numbers. I called the 877-383-0120 number and it got me straight to someone who asked for an application reference number. It appears this was their re-consideration line. My application did not make past verification yet so they directed me to the fraud department and after some verification, the application was approved. I asked them for their direct number and it was the 888-230-6262 number. I will be saving these numbers - thank you for your response!

That’s wonderful! I’m glad to hear you were able to get a quick resolution. I should probably save these numbers myself. You can also ask them to expedite the card if you’re needing it in a hurry. I believe it’s 2-day shipping. Thanks for reporting back!

Another helpful tip that worked - thanks again. I called the standard 1-800-732-9194 number and they were able to expedite to arrive tomorrow. I was worried because I needed to make a large payment before this month ends and did not think it would arrive in time. I usually deal with the Chase cards and I don't believe they expedite regular personal cards at least not for free unless I am mistaken.
