Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.

I purchased Southwest Early Bird boarding on tickets for my husband and me, both directions, so $15 x 4. I was reimbursed for them.

Can't imagine they are able to enforce the GC exclusion.. personally I have no problem buying VGC at 7-11 and Walmart though which already earn 3x normally, so probably wouldn't bother with this. I've only had my card for 6 weeks or so though and am reluctant to cycle CL... 1x CL MS per cycle will get me a 1k gift card every 3-4 months so I'm fine with that for now. If anyone has DPs to the contrary that they are fine with CL cycling/heavy MS I'm all ears don't want to be the shutdown DP on a very lucrative card though (3x MS aside).

Has anyone been able to add this card to Mint or Personal Capital? Which bank precisely did you select if so? Was able to add my CNB checking but can't seem to get CC to work. 2nd question - anyone who was forced to signup for a CNB checking account closed the checking but able to keep the card? This is literally the worst checking account I've ever had lol. Funded $3500 to avoid maintenance fee as soon as I got ACH transfer setup and they still charged me a maintenance fee (my Banker says he will check with his boss - currently on vacation - next week to see if it can be reimbursed). I don't wanna tie up $3500 in their crappy checking account just to keep the card. But I will if I have to haha.

We had to open savings accounts. We were allowed to close them as soon as the cards were authorized.

Thanks. How long ago was this? I assume your cards are still open? How did you go about closing the savings account - was it through your Banker or did you call the number on your debit card?

We kept one at renewal and canceled the other.

Walked into the branch and closed it.

I added it to mint as cnb.com (credit card online). It a long process though. First you need to add it, wait a few hours, then it will ask for security questions, after that wait a few hours and it will start synchronizing.

I just got the card and booked a reward JetBlue refundable flights with multiple segments, choosing seat upgrade and paying with the card. The upgrade cost was over $200, so let's see if I get the credit.
