Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html

Priority pass of AU

Another dp: $50 egc from AA posted on AU account a week after purchase.

Not sure if it has been asked before... Does the AU receive their own priority pass automatically after getting the cc? We haven't yet received it and my banker mentioned something about ordering online or calling to get the additional pp card. Any pointers will be helpful!

TIA

You have to request the Priority Pass card for your authorized user. I did it through my CNB banker.

did anyone renew the clear?

i signed up for clear one year ago with CNB's free offer.
i didn't select auto renew.
now it was expired 2 days ago.

i login to clear yesterday and found that
Renewal Date:November 25, 2017
Renewal Amount:$.00

i check my credit card, but cannot find any pending charge.
so does it mean i can still use it free for another year?

For the AU Priority Pass, I called the number on the back of the credit card. I was bounced around a bit but finally got to someone who was able to get the AU Priority Pass sent out to me. As mentioned above, calling your banker would be the other option.

Cancel the card

Has anyone cancelled their card by directly calling the number on the back of the credit card? My banker is slightly difficult to communicate with so I would prefer not to call him. Haven't fully decided whether to cancel or to stay but would like to be ready if I decide to cancel.

Yep, just did it yesterday. Also of note, the customer service rep said that I could do a product change to another CNB card with no annual fee, but the change could not be initiated until the annual fee posted. I declined the offer and proceeded with the cancellation.

Are the 12 GoGo passes every calendar year? How do you get those for 2017?

Thanks for the information. Did you cancel after the annual fee had posted? I am wondering whether to use the card till the fee posts and then cancel or cancel before the fee is posted. I have a slight preference to wait till after the fee posts as long as the fee is taken off after the cancellation ( I intend to cancel within a couple of weeks of fee posting).

So far I have not seen any retention offers. Is that the consensus?

Don't have the answer to your question but have a different question: from the recent travel experience and news, it seems a lot of airlines are moving away from GoGo. Is that you guys experience?

I cancelled before my annual fee posted; didn't want to risk such a large fee posting any either forgetting to cancel or having any trouble getting the fee reversed after I cancelled.

If it helps, post from earlier said that you have to cancel before fee posts; won't be waived post-posting.

Fee posting date

Thanks.

I wonder if it is possible to find out the date the fee will actually post. My first statement period is from Dec 14, 2016 to January 12, 2016 Payment due date Feb 10,2016). I would love to be able to use my Priority Pass for lounge access for a flight on January 5, 2016. However, I don't want to risk the fee posting before I cancel the card (right after January 6). If the fee has posted for anyone, they may be able to advise what I should do. On the other hand, not having lounge access for a couple of flights on Jan 5 won't be such a hardship if I am cutting it really close.

You will keep Priority Pass for the full year. So the date on your PP card is when it will expire.

Thanks. That is useful to know. I somehow thought that the Priority Pass usage is billed to the credit card company everytime it is used - therefore, if the credit card is no longer valid, the use of priority pass will also stop.
