As an additional resource for these cards see this thread: Alaska Airlines Visa

PERSONAL CARDS
30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...s-credit-card/
+2k miles if done with onboard paper application

30k mile offer with $100 credit and fee for companion ticket waived the first year, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4020594
link no longer working

30k mile offer with $100 credit, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4009277

If you are applying for a personal Alaska card, and are not an expert on applying for Alaska cards STOP, don't apply yet.
Instead, read this post. Doing that first may save you a huge amount of wasted time and frustration.

A few people in the Alaska Airlines forum have in the past received personally targeted, single-use links for a 50k offer
when they opt-in to "Partner Offers" in their Mileage Plan account preferences.

=======================================

BUSINESS CARDS

30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend, no foreign transaction fees:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/smallb...-credit-card//

Note: There are two different earning formats for the business card, which you choose when you apply:
  • $50 per company, $25 per card (Business Level Earning Plan)
    • $0 per company, $75 per card (Individual Level Earning Plan)

To avoid billing confusion later, make sure you choose the Individual Level Earning Plan if you are not going to have employee cards under the same account as your account.

Also see the Applying for Business Credit Cards [Consolidated] thread (not-BofA-specific) for general tips on applying for business cards.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reconsideration # (for personal cards):

1-800-354-0401 (8am-7pm ET Mon-Fri) direct, referring agent from another BofA line called it their "credit department"

1-866-811-4108 from the Alaska Airlines Visa thread post 949

Business card Recon Line:
866-695-6598 (8-7 EST M-F from what I was told)

Biz card status line: 888 663 6262
Biz Card credit analyst line: 877 665 5022, 877 665 5023 (seems to be non-working number)

Check application status online here:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...status-form.go

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Credit Enquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Enquiries for business cards come from FIA. Credit bureaus usually merge enquiries from the same requester made on the same day. Enquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

Where are my miles?
---------Card#1: my card--------
Aug 19th: BOA statement closed, showed 31,100 (1,100 purchase + 30,000 promotional ) miles earned and transferred to AS account.
Aug 29th: Miles NOT posted in AS account.

---------Card#2: my family member's card--------
Aug 24th: BOA statement closed, showed 31,100 (1,100 purchase + 30,000 promotional ) miles earned and transferred to AS account.
Aug 29th: Miles POSTED in AS account.

Why is the miles on card#1 not posted?
I closed another AS card two days before applying card#1, but didn't do that when applying card #2. Not sure if that will cause red alert for AS account.

Btw: I double checked that the AS# on the credit card application was correct.

Hmmm, that's interesting. I have a similar situation. The points were listed on my statement last week, but it hasn't been transferred over to my Alaska account. I thought most people say it posts on the Sunday after the statement closes. Maybe they're experiencing delays as one of yours posted on a Monday? I'm going to wait a few more days to see if resolves itself. Not sure if I should be worried. Their t&c does say up to a few weeks (standard T&C), so I'd rather it post sooner than later, of course.

I realized a typo. My family's AS card has statement closed on Aug 24th (later than mine), and the miles was posted on Aug 29th when I checked it.

I have two AS cards and both of them have the same statement date. I had $58 and $51 on each card, but only 58 points posted to my AS account a few days ago. Has anyone else noticed this before?

This is odd, there is some missing information that you are missing or not aware of, with your income and FICO score and NO BofA cards you should be getting more than 1,200 credit limit on a new card, i personally would recon with them, also i would make sure when i call for a pending app to let them know that i am in no way interested in any card other than a signature card, it worked for me in the past when my credit with BofA was thin and i still got 5k signature cards.

I did recon and told them only wanted signature card. He insisted that was all that was able to be given ($1200). I did not ask to escalate.

Why not? Perhaps at least a supervisor could have given you a reason and double-checked it was it was because of wrong information somewhere.

When I was mistakenly given only $1500 once, it was a supervisor who called me and told me it was a system error on their part that shouldn't have happened. (Of course, by then it was too late to avoid the two month upgrade process.) No front-line agent ever seemed to know that.

Perhaps if you cannot get an answer about the recent apps (which you cannot get IMHO without elevating a call at some point), the next time you should apply for a business card. With a business card, you either get approved for the Signature or get denied, no in between. And with a denial, you'd get a reason. (It's harder to legally get a reason for just getting a lesser version of the card you wanted. It's easier to legally get a reason when you're outright denied.) Tho, of course, with the business card you also cannot get a $100 statement credit.

I figured out what the problem is, in case it helps other people. Despite putting in my alaska mileage plan number of the cc app, bank of america opened up a new mileage plan account for me. The number is on the credit card itself. At least the mystery is solved. Maybe it's the same for you?

OK wait a minute. Please let me know if you've already answered the obvious. How many BOA cards do you have open? How many Alaska personal cards do you have open. What is BOA's overall credit exposure for all your open BOA cards?

I cancelled the application when I called in to clear a ID verification because I was told it was a Platinum. The letter came today and is says "we are unable to off you credit on the terms you requested because you have sufficient credit available"; but none open ( I did close one 8/23 but it only had a $3000) limit. My total credit on experian says 101000 across all accounts.
I will call tomorrow and see if a supervisor can help, but if its cancelled don't want to reapply.

Sorry yztim, I'm just trying to help, but I still don't see the answers to my very relevant questions.
