(I am half hoping they will stock some RCC/PC one day passes like they did with Delta, to help stretch it a bit further.)

Mine renewed in March.

the application website for the WE version still says

"Access to more than 600 VIP lounges in over 100 countries and more than 300 cities, free of charge"

and the mouse-print says:

Regardless of your choice of airline, class of ticket or membership in other airline programs, Priority Pass lounges will provide a quiet oasis where you can catch up on work or simply relax.
You will receive a personalized Priority Pass membership card which must be presented at the lounge in order to be admitted. For additional program information including Conditions of Use and participating lounge information, please visit www.prioritypass.com. Airport lounge access
services are provided by Priority Pass Limited. Ameriprise Financial reserves the right to change this free visit offer at any time at our discretion and may impose a subsequent per person, per visit fee for cardholders. Ameriprise Financial will notify cardholders before charging this fee. All airport lounge fees are subject to change without notice. Priority Pass standard rules apply. Visit
the terms state cardholders will be notified. Have you been notified?

The change from Priority Pass to Priority Pass Select would not require notification. Select does not impose any charges for access. It makes one, and only one, change: lounges operated by Continental and United Airlines are excluded from the network effect 10.1.2011. Nothing else changes.

My guess is that since yours renewed in March, you are lucky and you will not get Select until March 2012. I was hoping that would happen with my May renewal, but apparently I missed the cutover.

All Visa/Mastercards with Airport Lounge access?

I am looking for a comprehensive list of all Visas or Mastercards that have complimentary Airport Lounge access, preferably with 2 complimentary guests. The only one that I can find is the Citi Thank You Prestige. Are there any others?

I have been looking all over the internet for a comprehensive list, and I cannot find it anywhere. You would think that a list would exist SOMEWHERE. I want a Visa or Mastercard so that I can use it everywhere (unlike Amex Platinum), and I am prepared to spend the $400-500/year fee.

Please help me out, thanks!

Welcome to Flyertalk.

No other card will provide access to as many lounges as American Express Platinum or Centurion, because American Express has an agreement with American Airlines and Delta whose lounges generally do not accept Priority Pass.

I suggest you begin by reviewing these threads:

OK. Looks like I'll be getting the Amex then. Are there lounges that Amex CAN'T get into, but the Priority Pass CAN?

Nevermind... just figured out that AMEX gives you a Priority Pass membership along with a Platinum card. Thanks!

The Priority Pass membership provided by American Express, and all other US-issued credit cards, will be marked "Select" which means it will not be valid for admission to lounges operated by United or Continental Airlines after 9.30.2011. This is a decision made by UA. The only way around it would be to purchase a Priority Pass membership or to obtain a membership with a credit card issued in another country.

Notice that the Priority Pass membership offered by American Express requires the cardholder to pay $27 for each guest. This is different than the membership provided with Citi Prestige (fka Chairman) with includes two guests.

I think one of the ads circulating on this site is for the Visa "Black card" which looked to come with Priority Pass select, too.

FWIW, it sounds like you'll be much better served by the AMEX Platinum card. Complementary access to all Delta, USAir, and American lounges for you and up to two guests. Also comes with Priority Pass select which isn't worth a whole lot but will get you into a few extra lounges such as the ones for Alaska Airlines. (Plus a host of foreign lounges...)

the best value is not the amex platinum but the Ameriprise World Elite Mastercard. $150 a year AF with PP membership and no lounge co-pays.

The rub on all of this is making sure that you gain access to lounges that you actually want to use. I know that, in the US, PriorityPass (Select?) is only good at USAir and Alaska Airlines lounges, along with the few foreign lounges that are scattered intermittently throughout the country.

If PriorityPass sounds like the way to go for you (i.e. you are a US or AS flyer), then you might consider just buying that membership outright and choosing the rewards card that makes the most sense for you independent of the lounge access.

American Express Platinum's annual fee is $450, but for the additional $300 you receive:

  • Annual refund of $200 in fees on one domestic airline
  • Access to AA and DL lounges when flying those airlines
  • Access to US lounges in Charlotte, NC which are excluded from Priority Pass

Of the three items you list, only the first is of value to people who don't fly AA, DL, or spend time in Charlotte. If all someone wants is PP membership for lounge access the Ameriprise WEMC gives more for a lot less.

The American express platinum card has other very redeeming qualities and these features are why I carry one. If all I wanted was lounge access, I wouldn't. There is no co-pay for access or guests with the PP membership via Ameriprise. The terms on this are not clear but in years of using this card I have never been charged to access a lounge or to guest-in others.

The OP, IIRC, was asking about lounge access with a Visa or Mastercard and this is the context around I posted. Don't get me wrong, the amex platinum charge card is an excellent choice for a variety of reasons. The fact American Express recently improved domestic (USA) lounge access by adding the PP-select membership is welcome. I would add another huge improvement is the elimination of the foreign exchange transaction fee for most non-USA purchases.

There's also the Continental Presidental Plus Mastercard and United Mileage Plus Club Visa.

Depends if you spend time on *A or not.
