Priority Pass - Are Credit Card offers for "Select" membership?

I've noticed that some time in the last few days, the Priority Pass lounge directory has begun to include this note under all the Continental and United lounges:
Note: Members holding a Priority Pass Select membership card will not be allowed access to this Lounge effective 01OCT2011.
My PP access is through an Ameriprise World Elite MasterCard. Does anyone know if this is a "Select" membership? I can see no reference to Select membership anywhere else on the PP site.

I have noticed the same. The best thing is to contact Priority Pass for clarification. More likely CO/UA lounges will be discontinued from Priority Pass like access via Amex Platinum

I guess one will need a Presidential Plus membership or Red Carpet membership or whatever the new name for a combine lounge membership in order to access CO/UA lounges.

Given that Delta /NW pulled lounge memberships a while ago, AA was never a part of it. Now with UA/CO removing whatever is left ... what lounges are left in the USA that makes PP even worth it? I guess this Air line consolidation is already working against us

If this were the case Priority Pass would not need to have included these notices, they would simply notify us that these lounges were leaving the network. Instead, it sounds as if Priority Pass is creating a new membership tier "Select" which will exclude CO/UA, but will still offer some memberships which will include access to those lounges.

I think this must be right, although it's weird that they would introduce it in the lounge directory listings without making any other reference to it on the site. FWIW, I have sent an email to PP customer service inquiring -- no answer yet.

Also cannot find anything about Priority Pass Select membership. Just called them and got an after hours line. She has escalated my question and I should here from them hopefully soon.

I don't think we yet know enough about Priority Pass Select memberships to know how it affects Priority Pass memberships issued through specific credit cards.

I emailed Priority Pass on Saturday concerning this. I received an automated response that they would reply in two business days. I'll post the response when/if I receive it.

Mine is through Ameriprise (but expires 31/AUG) i dont see ... that note on LAX/IAD/IAH conti-united lounges. Also recently the priority pass card suddenly has a lot more numbers 6 + 12. Can you tell me which lounges you are getting the "update" and when your PP expires?

Does any one else have PP through Citi Chairman /UBS / Amex-USD-EUR card etc see if this is the case?

Thanks
