We will leave this thread open for questions from existing cardholders who applied using offers with the perpetual annual 10k bonus. Otherwise, please post on the ongoing thread on standard offers:
Current Offers: USAirways cards with no annual mileage bonus
Current Links:
30k + 10k anniversary + no annual fee for the first year (now says "Offer expired"); terms and conditions include offer specifics
[NOTE: Barclays is erratically enforcing the restriction "for Preferred members only," especially for those who leave off a membership number on the application. See recent experiences reported in the thread.]
There is a separate thread for a 40k+10k offer with $89 annual fee, no anniversary bonus: USAirways CC special Offer 40K + 10K BT Bonus; AF not waived
Expired Links:
30k at signup, 10k anniversary bonus, 10k with balance transfer, no fee first year - Landing Page (Ended 4/30/14)
Older 35K Link (older link not working)
Newer 35K Link (click on terms and conditions to see 35K bonus after first purchase, first year fee waived, and 10K anniversary bonus)
1) I applied for this card but got the message
Check your application status by visiting http://www.myapplicationstatus.com/
At Barclays, if you already have an online account, the card can also show up there before you get a notification from them. Obviously, that won't work if you don't yet have an online Barclays account from another card. But if it's not your first US card, you presumably do have an online account already.
2) What's the reconsideration line number?
866-408-4064. Only open M>F, 8am>5pm, Eastern.
3) How long after my first purchase does it take for the bonus miles to post in my account?
Miles for the first-purchase bonus post with the statement showing the initial purchase.
4) For those people who got the targeted offer, how long after spending $750 in each of the 3 months does it take for the bonus miles to post in my account?
Miles posts two months after the end of the promotion period. For example, if your promo was to spend in June, July and August, the 15k bonus would post with October statement.
5) How can I get the anniversary 10K bonus points without paying the annual fee?
The annual bonus posts on the statement date of the month of anniversary. No need to "kick out" a statement. But if you are worried, you can put a few bucks on the card during that cycle thus generate a statement but it is NOT necessary.
AF is billed the last business day of the month of the anniversary (much better than Chase practice which is on the 1st day of the month). You have 60 days to cancel the card for the AF to be reversed. You also can use SM to cancel card and no need to call.
Note: I called to cancel the card (June, 2014), told them it was because the AF was too high, and they waived it. Still got the 10,000 points and the Companion Certs!!

Targeted promo - double miles
I got this card about a month ago (after a long sequence of denial, ignored reconsideration letter, and eventual call to a credit analyst -- but I digress). Yesterday I received an email announcing a promo, apparently targeted, for (not quite) double miles:
Earn non-stop double miles on your everyday purchases
Dear Beltway,
Your US Airways Dividend Miles® MasterCard® has never been so rewarding. Every $1 you spend over $400 on all non-US Airways purchases between May 1, 2011 and June 30, 2011 will earn double miles.¹
Watch your miles add up twice as fast when you use your card at places like:
• Grocery stores
• Restaurants
• Movie theaters
• Gas stations
• Clothing stores
• Hotel and car rentals
Just use your card every time you pay and see how quickly your miles add up. You'll be redeeming miles toward great vacation getaways in no time at all!
¹ Offer is valid for select cardmembers and is not transferable. You will earn double miles on all qualifying net retail purchases made with your US Airways Dividend Miles MasterCard after you charge over $400 each month, from May 1, 2011 through June 30, 2011. Cardmembers are eligible to earn up to a maximum of 8,000 miles per month. Purchases made at US Airways do not qualify for this double earn promotion. To receive your miles, your account must be open and in good standing. You will not earn miles on purchases made during periods when your account is delinquent, your balance exceeds your credit line or your account is otherwise not in good standing as defined in your Credit Card Cardmember Agreement. Your miles will appear on your statement up to 6-8 weeks after the end of the promotion.

Can someone please PM or send me a copy of their terms or screenshot showing the 10k anniversary bonus? I have never received this but have Premier World card. Their mostmiles website listed the bonus, but now all of a sudden it has been removed
Would appreciate it if someone has a screenshot, found it on the website, has a letter that lists the benefit, or had saved a Terms & Conditions for it. Thanks!.

US Citizens or Green Cards only
Barclays USA gives out cards only to US Citizens or Permanent Residents. I recently applied for a Priority Club card from Barclays and was denied (I am a resident alien, not a Permanent Resident)
Correction: I meant Choice Privileges Card, not the Priority Club. My mistake.

This benefit is still shown on the website; the URL http://www.mostmiles.com/Chairmans) is linked to in the first line of post #1 in this thread.
It doesn't have anything to do with US Dividend Miles Chairman's status right? B/c I have that status. The Mastercard customer service said NONE of their cards have the anniversary miles benefit and they have no idea what I am talking about.

What is meant by "Chairmans"? Their main link without the Chairmans does not offer this bonus. So I must have a different type of account or opened a card before this "Chairmans" was available.

The CSR is wrong: the special Premier World card's T&C says quite clearly that anniversary miles are a benefit.
First Year Bonus and Bonus Anniversary Miles: Cardmembers will receive ten thousand (10,000) Anniversary Miles at the close of the first billing statement after the first anniversary of account opening and each subsequent account opening anniversary.

I have the premier rewards card and just called barclays to see whether I could get the 10k anniversary benefit added to my card. I don't want to cancel my card and reapply for this one, because I'm working my toward the spend bonus for the 10k EQM.
I can't believe how stupid these people are. It's absolutely impossible to make any headway with them. I'd like to criticize them for not saying yes, but the truth is that's too harsh since they can't even comprehend the question. I've tried several methods to no avail. The latest round of secured messages culminated in the frustrated "credit specialist" telling me I have to call USAirways.

You might try calling, and then asking for a supervisor if/when the Barclays first-line CSR proves unhelpful or just plain dense. (Again, I've had good luck using this approach with Chase. When an obnoxious and snippy CSR kept answering a question I wasn't asking because he couldn't be bothered to listen to my actual question, I calmly requested a supervisor. I am happy to say she had far fewer issues & ended up offering much useful information.)

Thanks guys. They've worn me down and I'm ready to say uncle.
They think (or at least claim to think) that I'm asking for the 35k bonus. I get the sense nobody is too familiar with the 10k anniversary bonus (which strikes me as a potentially problematic for those of you applying for the card when the anniversary rolls around).
It's possible they are being deliberately obtuse to get me to give up. But they keep referring to the sign up bonus and seem to be in auto-pilot thinking that's what I'm asking for.
