For questions on NEW applications for US Airways cards please use this thread:
USAirways CC special Offer 40K + 10K Bonus; AF not waived

Official: 10k annual bonus for existing cardholders will continue beyond 2014

We will leave this thread open for questions from existing cardholders who applied using offers with the perpetual annual 10k bonus. Otherwise, please post on the ongoing thread on standard offers:
Current Offers: USAirways cards with no annual mileage bonus

Current Links:
30k + 10k anniversary + no annual fee for the first year (now says "Offer expired"); terms and conditions include offer specifics
[NOTE: Barclays is erratically enforcing the restriction "for Preferred members only," especially for those who leave off a membership number on the application. See recent experiences reported in the thread.]

There is a separate thread for a 40k+10k offer with $89 annual fee, no anniversary bonus: USAirways CC special Offer 40K + 10K BT Bonus; AF not waived

Expired Links:
30k at signup, 10k anniversary bonus, 10k with balance transfer, no fee first year - Landing Page (Ended 4/30/14)
Older 35K Link (older link not working)
Newer 35K Link (click on terms and conditions to see 35K bonus after first purchase, first year fee waived, and 10K anniversary bonus)

1) I applied for this card but got the message
We apologize for the inconvenience, but our website is experiencing technical issues.
Please contact us at 1-866-419-6437 or try again later.
What does this mean? What should I do?

Check your application status by visiting http://www.myapplicationstatus.com/

At Barclays, if you already have an online account, the card can also show up there before you get a notification from them. Obviously, that won't work if you don't yet have an online Barclays account from another card. But if it's not your first US card, you presumably do have an online account already.

2) What's the reconsideration line number?

866-408-4064. Only open M>F, 8am>5pm, Eastern.

3) How long after my first purchase does it take for the bonus miles to post in my account?

Miles for the first-purchase bonus post with the statement showing the initial purchase.

4) For those people who got the targeted offer, how long after spending $750 in each of the 3 months does it take for the bonus miles to post in my account?

Miles posts two months after the end of the promotion period. For example, if your promo was to spend in June, July and August, the 15k bonus would post with October statement.

5) How can I get the anniversary 10K bonus points without paying the annual fee?

The annual bonus posts on the statement date of the month of anniversary. No need to "kick out" a statement. But if you are worried, you can put a few bucks on the card during that cycle thus generate a statement but it is NOT necessary.

AF is billed the last business day of the month of the anniversary (much better than Chase practice which is on the 1st day of the month). You have 60 days to cancel the card for the AF to be reversed. You also can use SM to cancel card and no need to call.

Note: I called to cancel the card (June, 2014), told them it was because the AF was too high, and they waived it. Still got the 10,000 points and the Companion Certs!!

Wow, congrats. Did you earned those points thru spendings, or were they from sign up bonuses?

So you have 360k and your wife also have 360k? Or 360k for both of you?

Got the offer in Nov on both new cards with only 1st purchase at activation. Though we did not take it.

Both. Even got 2 reminder emails in late November. Constant balance transfer checks every month.

Just checked the application status website and the Mrs. was approved two. Again, no activity on the card since first use about 8 months ago.

I received the offer for 15k bonus miles for spending $750 per month for Sep, Oct and Nov, which I did. The offer said that the miles will post 6-8 weeks after the end of the promotion. Does anyone know if it will really take that long for the miles to post?

So if I have never had the US Air cc, the first link is good even though it says something about: Chairman's Preferred Status?

Yes, they will post automatically, but it will take a long time.

I had the offer for the same time period. Points posted with the December statement.

I was targeted in July for the same offer. My offered required a $750 min spend in August, September, and October. My bonus miles posted with my December statement.

Sidenote, between the 2011 Grand Slam, two credit card churns, the 10K miles anniversary bonus, and the $750 min spend promotion I've accumulated 140K miles with US Airways. My original intent was to earn 40K throwaway miles I wouldn't feel guilty using on domestic flights. I'm not sure what I'll do with my 140K treasure chest yet. I love this program.

Thanks. My Dec statement is in a few days. Hopefully the miles will post then so I will have the remaining miles I need to book the flights I want.

I had a 15k offer for the exact same time period: spending $750 in each of August, September and October. However, my December statement date was on the 5th, and the miles did not post.

Since the offer states 6 - 8 weeks, and it has not been 8 weeks yet, I guess I will wait until my January statement to give them a call.

My data point: Applied before Thanksgiving using "chairman" link, instant approved with Signature CL (first time). Received card 2 full weeks later (probably due to the holiday). Made first minimal purchase later that day. Statement closed yesterday and points already posted in my DM account. Fastest bonus post for me ever.

Well, I was feeling uneasy about this because multiple people posted that the bonus was reflected on their December statement, and mine wasn't.

Specifically, there was also a billing error on my statement in October. A large duplicate credit posted during the last month of the promotion. If it had posted once like it was supposed to, then I would have netted the $750 in spending. But since there was an error, and it posted twice, the total was less than $750. This was reconciled in November after the promotion had officially ended for me.

Anyway, a very helpful agent put me on hold to check it out. I was on hold for over 15 minutes. When she came back on the line, she said the credit would post on my January statement date. That will be about 10 weeks after the end of the promotion, but I am still getting the miles! And that is what matters.

I'm also in the Aug/Sep/Oct group, with a statement date near the beginning of the month, and mine haven't posted yet either. I think we're fine, we should just expect the miles at the beginning of January.
