Elite Y Upgrades Not Shown

FlyerTalk colleagues:

I apologize if I'm missing something here (I don't see anything about this so far).. but when booking Y fares, I no longer see where it tells you if there are "Elite Y Upgrades" available for the respective flights.

I went back to www.continental.com and tried booking same itinerary and it
showed "Elite Y Upgrade" availability with each flight.

I was playing with the "Upgrade Standby List" on CO 30 (11/10) and got:

Capacity 25 Booked 12 Checked in 24 (???????)

This Platinum just got the 'Preveiw' email this am--- but clicking on the link only produces a loooooooooooooooooooooong wait while the hourglass does it's non stop dance:confused: Going to the CO site the old way shows no difference. Guess I'll just have to wait till it's rolled out for the general travellers:(

The link in the emails have been troublesome since they started the site. Just go to http://preview.continental.com and it'll work fine.

  • Improved flight change experience, including the ability to assign a seat

  • New interline booking options to non-Continental serviced destinations, including Bangalore, India; Bangkok, Thailand; Chennai, India; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Hyderabad, India; Seoul-Inchon, South Korea, Singapore and over 30 more destinations throughout Asia, India and southern Europe

  • The ability to purchase a ticket with more flexible fare rules on the Review Ticket Details page

  • Ability to book service animals during the booking process and when viewing a reservation

  • Select improvements during the mobile booking path

Thanks Scott. I'll go to work on it from the PC at EWR this afternoon (if the wireless works). :D

^ for bringing back the multi city airport codes like NYC and LON!

Thanks Scott.

As has been discussed here (in the thread RE upgrades for purchase), has there been any thought given to "enter the OnePass Number of traveling companion" for Plat/Gold elites doing OLCI to add an upgrade companion?

If CO is still planning on dumping "time added to upgrade list" in favor of "date/time of ticketing" for battlefield upgrades, then it shouldn't matter when we're able to add our companions. But if y'all are going to allow the buy-ups for non-elites, it just makes sense to allow us to add our companions earlier.

After clicking on the link, delete the web/en-US/default.aspx from the URL and it should work.

Just tried using NYC as departure city and got the usual error (have to choose one of the airports.)

Changes to Advanced Search

Previously under Advanced Search with flexible dates, it gave you a drop down menu to search by month. Now it requires a date to be entered. Is that intentional? I sort of liked the drop down menu:)

Trying to use SEARCH NEARBY AIRPORT and found:

1) ERI was not included when using CLE as the search term
2) The yellow SEARCH button moved to next to the SEARCH NEARBY AIRPORT box on the results page (using Firefox).
