That's part of why I travel a lot for fun...getting to see them is a good reason for me to hop on a plane and go somewhere for a weekend.

That would be an envelope worth taking a picture of...I'd like to see how much of the envelope the stamps took up.

Even if LAX-PHL is on US(!) it's in F which is better than Y on CO or UA. I'm still hoping for an EWR-LAX F availability miracle (not likely, as there are four of us).

I just got done booking about 15 award nights at various Hilton/Conrad properties. I called the HKG Conrad and they assured me we could get two adults and two kids into a room... even though the computer says no...

For a short stay (and I can't vouch for more than 2 people) the Millenium was fine. Award was super cheap (10K/night or something like that). You will be on the river (boat taxi is right there) so you might be able to visit some sights quickly and cheaply. Note if you go to the palace, pants and sleeves are required - so wear them! I will not post photos of my husband's loaner pants here - you don't want to endure that.

Taxi to airport was reasonable as well.

Note I couldn't find the Conrad (non-residence) on Google so there is that. But for a 23 hour layover, if you want to use points, Millenium is where it is at. Worst case - just hang by the pool and enjoy the view.

We ended up doing this on our last day of a 3 day stay at the JW. BKK is easily the worst city I've even visited.

Thanks for the info! It's 25k/night when we're there... and if we pay it's more expensive than the Conrad properties!

I just went upstairs to find two l:rolleyes:sers from Jersey Shore on Late Night. Talk about ...

Yawn...

Someone at work today was trying to convince me that Jersey Shore was a great show. I just

Greetings my friend. Indeed, Joss Whedon with Firefly and Serenity was going for a "western" in outerspace feel. I liked them as well although they never developed the cult following that Buffy did.

Thank you my right honorable friend. I loved the characters, some more than others, but I'll admit Nathan Fillion did a fine job as well.

OK...bed time for me. G'night Box!

It was just an average Asian city for me. I read on one of the review sites about the "shopping". Turned out to be the normal Seven Mile Junk Pile I got used to in places like HKG, TPE or any ML China cities.

I really enjoyed getting used to the city "experience" which involved dodging the sellers and beggars, but the Palace was beautiful and I always appreciate another culture.

Probably won't be spending too much time in BKK central anytime soon.. but again, I did appreciate the experience.

Even though I was not a fan, I'd still say I appreciated the BKK experience as well. We absolutely loved Thailand - and will return - but we will skip BKK next time.

I didn't mind BKK. I was shocked at how much traffic there was at midnight or whatever ungodly time we landed. Loved taking the tut-tus everywhere. I didn't spend alot of time in BKK but enough to see the palace and visit the Oriental Hotel and do some shopping. I do wish I had taken a tour of the boat market or whatever it's called.

I can't remember where we stayed but it wasn't an American chain hotel.
