It likely was not the intent, but the unintended consequences aren't going to be pleasant.

Not really - I would be happy if all those bills went away.

Well, be it as it may -- I assumed you meant that you were 'earning' miles in this endeavor!:rolleyes:

At least the coin program is responsible for some of the flex EQMs I've 'earned'!;)

With a quote from a Boxer, no less.

I guess it is just an urge to get his name in the paper.

I can't believe McCartney blew the lid off the coin thing. I thought he enjoyed the company of frequent fliers.

You ought to know that reporters are not to be trusted and that it generally is bad a mistake to talk to them at all.

They have their own agendas and many of them have their stories written before they have even talked to anybody about the subect. Then they pick and choose and distort in order to make the quotes fit their already fully-formed theses.

though there has been a $5.00 S+h fee on the coins for some time.

But no one has had to pay that as they are ordering above the minimum!;) I'm not clear how many of those '400' contacted by Mint are FTers!

Mike who is the boxer quoted?

What is the minimum? I have been thinking about getting into that program.

I wouldn't go that far...our moderator is not a publicity seeker that I know of. I'm not at all upset over him being in the article; I have no right to be even if I was. I was initially surprised (hence my reaction) to see the name, but then it hit me that he was an extremely easy call for McCartney to make.

I don't have the same problems with reporters that some here do. Every time I have been in the paper my name has been spelled correctly and the gist of what I said was reported accurately.

Pretty much, yeah.

I'm not exactly sure -- it's at least $500!;) The way to find out is to go through the order process & see when the S&H fee drops off!:-:
Are you really thinking of starting -- this late?!

I agree!

If the coin program comes back at all now, it will be back after the New Year. Disney bought up all of the remaining production for 2009.

I do earn miles paying bills but I would be happy to not earn miles by not paying bills. Retirement is still more than 18.5 years away.
