Quite possible I googled GSTT and it gave me the Generation Skipping Tax.

Make sure you wear your roller skates.

Good night all. I will be on from work tomorrow... For those of you left of east, happy rest of Thanksgiving. For all others, good luck shopping...

Correct. GSTT exemption and estate tax exemption are all in play with present (or anticipated) legislation which will potentially affect (apparently) several of our livelihoods. Bottom line is that estate tax exemption may end up at $3.5 million with potentially portable exemptions between spouses. As to gift taxes, GETT, etc., who knows what will happen. Also, the concept of discounting for lack of control, lack of full interest, etc. may or may not be in jeopardy. The consensus here is that the phase out of the estate tax will not happen (due to the loss of federal revenue).

The above statement is about as politically neutral as I can get this...

I would have thought so too being one of USPS's largest clients. They just had a piece about them on Nightline. Their distribution centers are huge.

Netflix instant is where it's at (actually, where it should be). :-:

If your reading skills have improved to the point where it is U.T. and not t.u. you should consider it a win.

Nah, it's still that little liberal arts college in north downtown Austin. ;)

Goodnight, box.

Seriously, reading skills totally lacking in college station.

Article 7 Sec 10 of the Texas Constitution:

ESTABLISHMENT OF UNIVERSITY; AGRICULTURAL AND MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT. The legislature shall as soon as practicable establish, organize and provide for the maintenance, support and direction of a University of the first class, to be located by a vote of the people of this State, and styled, "The University of Texas," for the promotion of literature, and the arts and sciences, including an Agricultural, and Mechanical department.
You guys have nothing more department status, deal with it. :p

Learn something new every day. I always thought that the A & M (of Texas) stood for agriculture and mining.

I just passed Best Buy at around 11pm and there was already a line in front of their store.

I can not believe that stores are opening at 4am tomorrow. There is almost nothing that cheap that would drag me out of bed at that hour.

I have no plans to shop in a retail store until after the new year except for food shopping. I will be doing all my holiday shopping at ShopOnePass

Hey there Box...haven't been on for a while but I thought I'd stop by and wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. I went to NYC and went out for Sushi near Gramercy with a friend.

Headed to RSW this Thursday and back on Friday (hopefully in time for my gig), then it's off to ORD on Saturday with Ms. GadFly to visit her family and burn the last of my vacation days for the year.

Hope all's well with everyone.

Steve GadFly Nov 27, 2009 2:37 am

I noticed lines in front of Best Buy, Wal Mart, and Office Depot. Saving a few bucks can make some people act very
