We are doing lots of sales to IDGT's, particularly to dynastic trusts. I am product neutral, although the folks with whom I work are more product "interested" (ie compensated)... I deal with all of the items you describe, including the ones with which you work...

We had a chance of snow this weekend; seems to have migrated to next weekend.

Thought so!^ We (my business partner's FP firm) are 'fee-only' & he does 'managed' asset a/c's.^ Yes, I can appreciate the need to take advantage of GSTT -- the need being more prevalent these days, than in generations past.
