I know the SIN / MLE is flight is recliner C. It's a relatively short flight so who cares.

Every time I got on that flight I have been so tired that I passed out so it does not even matter. You used to be able to Book the  on that route, even though it is not that long. They still serve a full meal but the options for BTC are not as great as the long haul flights.

I'm looking forward to my ~8 hour layover in YVR on Wednesday. Think I may head down to Stanley Park for the afternoon.

That sounds cold. Provide a trip report on how good the new airport Sky Train is.

Correct.

Has that been confirmed? I thought it was speculation at this point. :-:

I have no idea who actually makes their Vodka, but Kirkland brand stuff is always very good.

What are you flying out to EU ?

Something pretty lame: UA new C (763) IAD-FRA, then LH C FRA-LHR. At least I'll get to try the new UA C seats. I need to work a full day on Wednesday because I decided to extend my trip for a day, so I am basically limited to flying out of IAD. I would have gone on IAD-LHR directly, but UA is only running 777s that day. The LH IAD-FRA flight didn't have any C availability at the time I booked it, but leaves a bit too early anyway.

I was surprised to discover that US carries both Finlandia and Glenlivet aboard its aircraft. They also stock Tanqueray, which, though not as good as Bombay Sapphire, is perfectly drinkable.

Phew. Thought I lost my pen from Airbus.

Make sure you get a seat that faces the back of the plane :p

Does anyone have one of these hard drive docks? If so, any recommendations on a quality brand?

I'm not sure it matters as this stuff is pretty much a commodity item. I've been warned, though, that leaving drives in these docks for a while causes them to get quite hot.

I wouldn't classify the new UA C seat as lame, especially for an overnight flight, where flatness is key. :-:

Yes -- just make sure it's not "peak business" and you should be fine.

History fail of the day

It took a 30-minute call to OPSC last Friday to supposedly get the status AND missing miles taken care of. Status happened but miles did not. Now have been on with them for close to 50 minutes, and the cause of my missing miles is becoming more apparent: not only was the OP number never there, but apparently either La Oficina de Pandy or someone else that I am not aware of booked me under a misspelled name, voided the ticket and reissued it. Score another win for OPSC and nice phone agents. Still on hold, but resolution is so close I can taste it.
