I told them not to put the request to fix it until after I'm done tomorrow as it's all working right now for what I want. I also noticed the chord to plug a lap top into the system was just a bunch of wires as the connection was ripped off. Don't know why you'd use a lap top with This Setup

No big loss my friend! IIRC I had the displeasure of flying on one with TWA in the 90s. Damn thing rattled like a ghetto cruiser.

I am well overdue at sitting down with Dad to discuss all of the fun routes and aircraft in my early days when he worked for Boeing and Mom worked for Pacific Northern.

A lot of us do use laptops merely because it ensures all necessary software is operating the proper versions - a time sink for everyone if you begin and have to update Acrobat, Flash, etc.

I still wish I had been able to snag one of those on DL at the end. I know they were falling apart, but I still wanted to fly one. I tried, too — they were pretty common on ATL-DFW flights right up until the end — but I never could manage to get the schedule or price to work out for the work travel I was doing at the time. And in that job, the salary was barely above the poverty level, so there wasn't much budget for non-work related flying.

Pretty much every major east coast city to ATL as well. I think my first commercial flight was an L1011.

This makes me wonder what kind of woman would want such a cretin as her boyfriend.

G'morning, Box. Looks like I'm going to skip the massive number of segments on Saturday and head to Houston for the after-party of the mini-Do. See some of you there!

^ Looking forward to seeing you. Plus1 may have to bow out and head west this weekend so I'm bringing a replacement if he does.

The only ATL-East Coast flying I did around that time was ATL-BOS, which was mostly a mix of 762s and 757s at the time.

Melbourne hotel recommendation please:

Which would you go with either of the two Hyatts or Hiltons?

I have stayed at the Grand Hyatt, which was fine though on the edge of anywhere you want to be. Great views, but glitzy '80s-ish decor. I was there for only one day and was working in St. Kilda, so it was convenient for public transport.

IME it happens when a company is bought out.

Won't work. This client is super particular about expenses. I have a rental car. They'll throw a fit if they pay for both a rental car and a taxi on the same day.

Yep. It just took us nearly five years after the buy out to go completely .

It also tends to happen when the economy tanks. For some reason, major companies tend to go overboard with p!ss!ng all over people during that period, and then act shocked when the job market turns around and everyone who is worth anything bails. They never learn.
