I'm teaching my client how to do payroll adjustments because they had this training a year ago and forgot everything. And they keep assuming this is going to work the way their old payroll system did — which was far more complicated. However, instead of being happy that this stuff is going to be simpler now, they want to hold onto their old, complicated, long and drawn out way of doing things. :confused:
One thing that I will never understand about higher ed is how administrators can get so attached to business processes that make no sense and are 100 times more complicated than they really need to be. |

However, they were in the other aisle of the plane, and either way ahead or way behind me, so I didn't try to talk to them to find out who they were. This sounds like sdm1130's story on a run earlier this year or late 2008. There were 6 of us (all in F) that were on our last leg IAH-PHL. I think I went to SMF or SEA but a couple I switched seats with the day before went to ONT. We didnt realize we were all on a MR until I saw them 12 hours later returning to PHL when it clicked.
