Guessing it might be time to get out of the pj's -- been working all day at home -- no need to actually get dressed up!;):D

I'm teaching my client how to do payroll adjustments because they had this training a year ago and forgot everything. And they keep assuming this is going to work the way their old payroll system did — which was far more complicated. However, instead of being happy that this stuff is going to be simpler now, they want to hold onto their old, complicated, long and drawn out way of doing things.

One thing that I will never understand about higher ed is how administrators can get so attached to business processes that make no sense and are 100 times more complicated than they really need to be.

I need to do the same soon. My OnePass balance needs some assistance after redeeming about 325,000-350,000 in awards this year.

A suitcase is a 24 pack.

I thought a suitcase was 30 - anyway, I was stressing that having a six pack is better than no beer ...

Usually for above market value. However, I made a ton of money buying currency on eBay last year when the Microsoft Live (now Bing) discount was 30% ...

DL Q-UPs don't really interest me anymore, but there's a $650a/i Q-UP FLL-LAX that allows you to route via JFK onto their new Transcon F 752 product.

Not worth it.

However, they were in the other aisle of the plane, and either way ahead or way behind me, so I didn't try to talk to them to find out who they were. At that point I was tired and a little hungry and just wanted to get to the rental car as fast as possible.

This sounds like sdm1130's story on a run earlier this year or late 2008. There were 6 of us (all in F) that were on our last leg IAH-PHL. I think I went to SMF or SEA but a couple I switched seats with the day before went to ONT. We didnt realize we were all on a MR until I saw them 12 hours later returning to PHL when it clicked. I think he was in seat 1A and we were all in rows 3 and 4.

I'm jealous. I did not want to get out of bed this morning. I finally drug myself out about 8:15, when I needed to be at the client at 9:00. Fortunately it's only a 10 minute or less drive from the hotel to the university.

I had hair when I became a dean a few years ago.

ZRH was my first very MR heavy route - I would meet runners less frequently before then.

Yes, I was the anti-social (actually, just exhausted) guy in 1A. :o I didn't even know you were all FTers until the next day when I was home.

So definitely not worth buying currency at a discount there, but worth considering if I ever have a bunch of foreign currency I don't want to hold onto for a future trip.

I had fewer gray hairs before I took this job.
