Less comfortable than the old-school YX seating?

Midwest was actually quite nice back in the day (if, indeed we are discussing Midwest Express.. que up the idiot bells if we are not. ). All leather F type seats and cookies for all. Unfortunately I stopped flying them a while ago and the airline has gone downhill (so I've heard) since that time.

Editing - I didn't know too much about travel at the time so in general, cookies made me happy. :p

This was really TATL? JFK-PRG? Wow.

ETA: Original YX (which later became signature service) seems about equivalent to this TATL offering.

I should mention that the previous photo displays the seat in full recline with the leg-rest fully extended. The leg-rest extends no more than 3"-4", maximum. It is, for all intents and purposes, completely useless (unless you happen to be a circus midget).

I tried YX a few years back (EWR-MKE-DSM) and, I agree, their soft and hard products were quite nice for a domestic carrier. The 2-2 leather seating on their MadDogs was quite comfortable and the cookies were excellent.

Unfortunately, as you said, it sounds like their service offerings have really gone down hill over the years.

(SkyTeam partner) has similar seats / lame legrests on the ex-SQ / ex-AT 752s they fly to Hawai'i.

Yep. That's their flagship product. Not really surprised that they are discontinuing long-haul ops to focus on being a regional SkyTeam carrier in Eastern Europe.

CSA didn't even bother painting one of its A310s in the new SkyTeam livery. Instead, they chose... an ATR 42! :D

Taking after neighbor to the south, Malev, who does a pretty decent job with their hodgepodge of routes and equipment. They may be in oneworld but they partner with pretty much everyone. Malev gets their long haul needs met and the partners get great feed from Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Does Malev no longer do long-haul? IIRC, they once had 767s...
