Answers in a minute.

Interesting. I never did read the book, and only saw part of the movie. If #3 is still open, it's the end of WWII - I think the surrender, but it might be Nagasaki.

Both are very good. Most of the movie dialogue is lifted nearly verbatim from the book.

I was going to answer your speculation, but that's actually in the next category.

Bonus question: Before Lincoln went to the theater that night, he signed paperwork that created a new federal agency. Which one?

And the answer to my KKR trivia question, BTW, is "Motel 6." Same model as food; very little variable cost, brand name, clientele, established expectations.

Didn't know that one. I do have the VJ Day edition of the Baltimore Evening Sun framed at home (also happens to be my birthday but not year) - found it while cleaning out a packrat's possessions from a tobacco barn and was allowed to keep it.

Very funny. :D It's not that hard, or so I at least thought. It's a smokescreen question - the dates and the cities are the two easy pairs, and that's four of the eight answers. The other stuff is there just to scare and confuse.

Brituchenite Sep 17, 2009 7:29 pm

3. Black Hawk Down????
