Nice! I never have the guts to get gift cards off of ebay.

First delay of my AYCJ experience. Apparently the TVs are busted on our plane right now.

I'm very selective in the gift cards I get on eBay - tend toward Hyatt, Lowes (Home Depot in a pinch), and Rite Aid.

If you get a bump, it doesn't look like you'll be going home on CO. SeatCounter shows Is Not Possible for DCA the rest of tonight.

Have you had success in getting the MC 2,500 bonus points if you paid with gift card and the balance on MC?

Perhaps CLE-IAD-SuperShuttle/Washington Flyer/Metro (5B?)

For $300/$400, I would accept some out-of-pocket (or airline reimbursed) costs.

I have not done so personally because I specifically use gift cards when there's no credit card tie-in. The 2,500 MC bonus ends tomorrow and my trip to AUA starts Friday.*

* I do specifically carry one AX, one MC, and one VS card due to various hotel chains having differing preferred credit card partners / bonuses.

There are no nonstops as per the PDA site. In an example of true aerogeekery, there is an option to go CLE-BWI-EWR-IAD.

One can also use mass transit / SuperShuttle after CLE-BWI. Not as easy, especially on weekend.

Why, yes, it is. :p

They have started boarding. It is chaos. Everyone is standing in line and it is barely moving. I'm letting my laptop continue to charge and am reclining on the comfy chairs here. And watching a ridiculously large amount of mail offload from one of the JFK flights. Like the whole forward baggage hold worth.

There is a single exit row window seat on a late enough CLE-BWI...on a CR2.

I research one-way car rentals when I'm in a potential VDB pattern as well. I often offered to take bumps in MEM knowing that I could get a one-way rental for $90 (plus FF miles!) and get to BNA in three hours. ;)
